I'm buying a new motor for my savage X. I'm think about getting a LRP .28 .30 or the .32. Also had picco .28 in mind! Let me know wich one y'all think would be the best. I want a motor that will throw a savage around like a toy. I'm a LOW END TORQUE FREAK! Let my know what y'all think I should get

LRP is good motor. never had a picco, so i dont know. heard they take forever to break in. i think an LRP .28 or the .30 wud be great in a savage. if u want more from it, get ahold of ERCM to mod it for u. have read alot about that guy an seen some vids. unreal power.

Any of the mills you listed will toss a savage X around plenty good. For the best bang for the buck I would go with the lrp or get with ercm and get a modded SH which I belive is a rebadged LRP for some insane power.

Recently, LRP released their new X12 Brushless motor. I decided to purchase one. Here are my impressions of the new features of this next generation mod.

For starters, the X12 features a cool looking pewter finish can. It comes in windings from 3 through 8.5 Turns

Check the new cooling features of the can in the lower section….nice. Also, this motor is shorter in footprint as well

One of the cool new features the X12 offers is a “Precisensor System”. Three super accurate timing inserts are included to help the driver adjust motor timing. Each timing insert is indicated by a dot pattern. This along with rotor and gearing are the most important details you must consider for your particular aplication. Higher timing results in higher rpms but worse efficentcy/torque. Lower is vise versa.

Any of the NITRO motors mentioned are great for your Savage and anything that Robin from ERCM works on is going to be really good. Benilus needs to read the OP before suggesting something that won't really fit what the OP wants to do.

I'm in the process of going with Picco .28's in all my nitros and I'm gonn ahave them modded by Robin at ERCM and run his pipes too! mucho grande power

My friend put the lrp .28 in his savage x and I'm not impressed. So if you really want it to be tossed around like a rag-doll I'm thinking the picco .28 modded by robin or maybe even the lrp .32.

There’s one engine out there that I’d call the fastest. Its simply getting the most powerful engine you can get, I know for a fact a 5.9cc, or .36 engine will fit in.. but you might experiment with a 7.5cc(.46) engine and tell me if that works out. The Savage XL already uses the 5.9 cc engine. I’m not saying you have to get the HPI Nitrostar 5.9… because it isn’t the most powerful engine out there.
