Iwant to get a new engine for racing purposes. Which engine would better suit this...

1) OS .18TM
2) Sirio .23
3) RB TM323

or anything else. What do the poles say?

search, my friend... search. the OS 18TM is going to be your winner there. its been discussed sooooo many times. the rb and the sirio are damn near the same engine... and can be raced (so I'm told) but for the most part, the os is the favored engine for racing. search...

Guys there will be a new revo mill with more power then all the ones mentioned above. I can't give all the info, but if your one that needs "MORE POWER" hold off a bit. The info should be out soon.

ill give it a crack
"STI" motors: BX STI (dark blue) and EVO III STI (light blue cooling head), and @ SirioK2poweredHyper7

yes yes the new siro / star motors new evo 3

yes it will rip i hope lol

After all my experiences, I have to say the 323 is great for all out, all around power, but I would lean toward the .18 TZ for racing only.

I did beat quite a few trucks bad yesterday with my recent mods to get my power to the ground (the taller Wabash wheels and tires seem to solve this problem) but the truggies were still smoothly sailing by me. Of course, alot of it is my lack of skill, but you could see the Truggies just having an easy time of it.

Probably because it's a drop in for the maxx and revo. People are willing to spend more for ease of installation. It also comes with a header that is $40 if you buy the header seperately.

And I think now with the emergence of the Traxxas 3.3, the RB TM323 is the answer. I'll just get a few different gear settings for racing and bashing. Anyone got any advice on settings? Which one have worked for you
Thanks, takitez!

RR, do you race your Revo with the RB 323? I was reading on this other thread and this guy mentioned something about an OS .18 being easier to handle on a Revo than a RB 323. I want more power also but still want to be able to drive the thing...not like I know how but I can pretend lol

Yep, 95% of my running is racing. I had to regear it for racing. In retrospect, I might have gone to the OS .18's, but I still have no regrets. I also wanted something as simple as possible to install and the RB offered that, plus the price was a bit less.

FUBAR, for racing you will might want to regear to a 15/38 or the 16/40, wide ratio trans gears.

Have you thought about the center diff they got for the 3.3 Revo now or soon will have out? I was reading and it said it would help keep the fronts down for better handling and traction. Anyways, I'm debating on motors still since I got a few weeks before I make my move. The new traxxas 3.3 has my eye right now but who knows what I'll end up with.
