Good morning. I have a hard decision to make, lrp.32 or nova .28. I haven't been in the hobby long enough to really fine tune my tuning skills so which engine is more forgiving?

He already has an LRP.28 on the savy. My advice for the money was the LRP.32 with an ERCM pipe. Not being all that great at tuning yet but getting there i think the novarossi .28 would be a huge step up in cost and upkeep due to its turbo head. Maybe snookman will chime in and give his opinion on the choice. I know he runs novarossi plus 7T .28 mills.

The nova and picco stock vs stock, the picco will win. However in terms of modded motor vs modded motor, people seem to think the nova is faster. I disagree, IMHO my ERCM picco is stronger than a modded nova. Now I can't prove this until someone posts up video of a clocked nova in a savage. I can only show what my ERCM Piccos can do.

I have ran a stock Novarossi .28. I think it was faster than a stock Picco.....now modd them both and the Picco then shines. But as stated above if you are a little new at it the LRP is very easy to tune and forgiving in the tune window. They are also not sort on power by any means either.

LRP all the way. I just bought a LRP .30 spec 2 can't wait to get my project truck done and take it out and break it in. I have a neighbor running the LRP.32 that thing is a beast. He was running the K5.9 I can tell you that the LRP smokes it all the way around.

I would go with the cheaper engine if you dont have a handle on tuning.

FWIW. Any .32 and most .30 engines are a waist of fuel in my opinion.

My 5.0 Mustang with a 347 stroker and a Kenny bell supercharger is a waste of fuel to but its heck of a lot of fun.:hehe:

Wasting fuel is always fun my 4 valve 5.4 supercharged falcon is a real bad choice.for a daily but hey its fun
Back on topic I would.stay with a .28 until you hone your tuning skills then look at a high end mill

So if I had a bunch of cash to drop on an engine it would be?

I'm thinking 5.9 or bigger........why isn't a bigger engine always better

I can tune....I think

My vote would be an ERCM Picco 28, you could also grab an ERCM SH28 which is the same thing as the lrp 28. But it's modded, he sells them for $225. Not a bad deal IMO.

Ok how do I get a hold of one?

Ok once, now I have another question, can I put an onroad engine in my savage, what'll happen if I jump it
