ok i got my Tower Hobbies magazine in the mail today, and i was looking through it, i have been looking for a buggy and it has the Kyosho Inferno MP-7.5 Sports RTR for $449.00 , with an extra $15 off, but i dont know if it is a good buggy, or should i just save up more and get the pro? of what other kinda buggy is the most dependable, and competative???

i am looking for something that is good for n00b in buggies, but also something that i cano hop up later once i get the experience and be on the competitive track...

BEWARE OF THE 7.5 SPORT!!!!!

This buggy is a piece of crap - it IS NOT the same buggy as the regular 7.5 or the 7.5 pro. Those are great buggies and a wonderful choice. I would also look at the GS Racing Storm Pro kit - it is also a wonderful choice. Stay away from all the ofna products - they are the HPI's of the buggy world.

ok so i know now to stay away from the Sports, what are the spec. some of you are racing with, kit, engine, radio system. Is there anything that I would have to worry about when i decide to purchase a 1/8th? besides type, what is the ideal engine for a 1/8?

<--- has:
--------------------
GS Storm Pro Kit
OS .21 RG (wish it was an rz)
venom failsafe
Hitec 3D FM TX
Hitec DCX 3 channel RCVR
Hitec 606 high torque throttle servo
Hitec 625 Super Torque steering servo

wow, just curious what is the round about figure for all that? $$$$$

not too bad - i had most of it already from my NTC3 and my RC10GT-FT

But if u were to buy it all new, about 900.00. see - pretty cheap for a 1/8th buggy.

plus, due to the way the storm is set up - i can use my starter box that i have set up for my NTC3, without having to move the dougnut

ohhhh kewl, then that is one thing i do not have to worry about.... LOL well it will take me a month or so to decide if i want to take the big dent in my wallet, maybe i will buy the kit and radio, put all that togeter, and then get the engine and add that in once i am done builing, hmmmmmm......... this makes me think :hehe: :naughty:

blazer - u have an RTR also? i didnt know that.

Thanks for reminding me - i also have a trinity 1300ma rcvr pack

i tried to find a place that is selling the kit, but i have not had enough, time, tower hobbies does not cary GS, where can i get GS, blazer how do you like your RTR was it worth it?

I have a GS Storm (RTR), got it a few months ago. Paid a little more than other RTR's but aside from being a nicely built buggy, it comes with a real nice controller, at least for RTR's it's nice. The aftermarket support from HardCore also made it attractive. The wife told me to get the top of the line and be done with it. But buggies like the Kanai II, as nice as they are, won't necessarilly make me a better driver. Plus it's a good feeling when you beat the guys at the track who have the ferrari's and you have the pinto.

hey that is good to know.. thanx for the tipps,

ok i found this site : http://h1070229.hobbyshopnow.com/products/description.asp?prod=GSC2004 and i was wondering if that is any good 499$, oh yeah, here is a stupid question, does the kit come tiwht and engine and radio?

the pictures are kinda hard to misinturpret, i think it comes with radio and mill, but i dunno, i know of kits coming with the bare bones &no mill or radio

sorry to offend the person who dislikes the hb lightning pro, but i have to add it into the list, tower has them now also, the pro is better than the rtr version, worth buying a decent radio vs buying the rtr with a "ok radio and no hop ups" cause u save in the end.... been bashing mine for 3 weeks now, and still loving it....

www.rcboyz.com has the Lightning Pro for $320. Part the engine and pipe out on ebay and you have a ~$220 chassis. You cann't beat that. I'll take it anyday over a $650+ K2.

The RTR is a great buggy. First upgrades needed are a pipe and decent tires. Dont even glue the stock ones on. Save the rims and get some good tires

how good do the part hold up? what is the difference between the storm and the lightning????
