I am looking for :

An ac/dc peak detection charger that does nicds and nimh.
I need it for 7.2v nicd packs, miniT nimh packs, and rx packs

What I want it to do :

discharge batterys
ac/dc
lcd screen of some sort
reliable

and..
2 batteries at once.. but this is not necessary..

i have read a lot of stuff on here.. so please don't say here.. look at this link. I already read it.
I do not want the superbrain.. too much negative stuff about it. i don't doubt that it can be great.. but i don't want it..

also, i was going to get either the triton or the ice charger, but they are dc.
I do not want to buy another p/s.
that is why i need the ac/dc.

thanks..

I was looking at the pirahna, but i don't think it discharges... or does it?? i can't tell. Tower doesn't say.

I said above i didn't want the superbrain, but apparently there is 2 of them.
Does the 969 have the problems of the 959??

thanks,
adrian

Eddy is right, the Reedy Quasar pro is your best all-around charger, it has the ac/dc like you want, can charge any kinda pack you have, nimh or nicad, and also has a nice 2 line lcd screen, i paid $189.99 for it couple months ago, i am now selling it $100 shipped to your door, If you have paypal, that would be alot better then sending a money order! Let me Know

I have AIM = BSchorr86

Also, do not buy MRC chargers, i had both of them, the 959 had a fire in it some how, and the 969 always false peaked and did not seem like a good charter, thats why i got the Quasar Pro

Well, I ordered the MRC tonight.
Didn't see these posts.
oh well.

I am not charging anything heavy-duty.
just rx packs, smaller mah nicds, and miniT batteries.

thanks for the input!!
