Is it best to tune a buggy on a race track or in a open parking lot?

Open parking lot, if you want your top end tuned right. But you'll still have to make minor adjustments at the track.

Open lot...

You need to make a few high speed runs...

Although if the track has a long straight...long enough to reach full throttle for 3-5 sec then i guess the track wld be better cause its on the surface you want to run you rig on in the end anyway...

Tune it where you plan to drive it. If you race offroad, you want the engine tuned to be snappy enough to clear all the jumps...and fast enough to just about top out down your longest straight.

Parking lot tuning won't do you very well if you want to take it to the track. It might get you close though....

i would have to agree with motogod.

If you are normally racing on dirt etc its better to tune it there because then you are counting in the loss of traction and etc. unlike on a lot
