I want to start a new thread specifically relating to the guys (and probably gals) here in Iraq that are trying to get start or continue their RC hobby, post pics of the track we are building and generally discuss issues specifically related to the challenges of being a deployed hobbyist. Can anyone, specifically moderators if you would, guide me on where to start this thread and how to set it up.:\

thank you.

I was hoping to get a "Deployed Members" subtitled "posts relating to issues and solutions specific to our deployed members of Armed Services" thread title under the Main RC Forum header such as the specific "traxxas revo" or "electric" and such. If possible. who do i contact to request that, or how do i go about doing that on my own? And that was just an of-the-cuff title, I'm sure there is something better.

I'm hoping when our troops all come home there will be a boom in rc tracks and clubs.we could use some new small buiseness to get our economy goin...

funny you mention that, I had not more than two hours ago mentioned getting my own track and club going in central PA after I retire......then again, I have a lot of things I've considered doing ....after I retire.

That's the major perk of a military career. Retire in your early 40s and get a good full time job while your pension starts on day one. 20 years later when all the civilians your age retire, you start drawing a second pension, plus having the same access to full medical and dental for you and your whole family. That's pretty hard to beat.
