Where to buy used nitro rc car engines?

eBay is your best bet, but caveat emptor; four times out of five the piston and sleeve are shot.

In a few words: Don't do it.

You're much better off saving a few bucks and nuying a new engine. Unless you know the seller always buy new engines.

Our marketplace forum, rctech, ebay, craigslist, really most any other rc forum site. That said I'm with Hamz and wouldn't buy a used engine to save a few bucks but that's just me.

I believe 7 out of 10 Nitro owners do not properly maintain there engines so I would be very hesitant to buy a used one unless you plan on rebuilding it. If you really want one though, I have a used TRX 2.5 with a HUGE polished cooling head on it that needs a full rebuild with bearings if you want. I would sell it to ya real cheap but by the time you pay shipping and a rebuild kit, for around $25 more you could have a new one. If you just want one to rebuild for fun to familiarize yourself with nitro engines, I totally understand.
