I am thinking about using turbo tax online since I am just filing basic and its supposidly free. I used tax act before and it was fine. What do you guys typically use to file?

I used one of the free online tax things a few years ago, might have been turbotax, which ever it was, it was free, was easy and quick.

I work for a tax software company, and could use our software to do my own. But I choose to use a local CPA for personal, and legal protection reasons.

I've used both the Turbo Tax online as well as their PC software and both were easy to use. It may cost a bit more online if you have to file a state income tax form.

I do my own taxes....be careful with the FREE Turbo Tax my dad did it last year and ended up with a $150 bill at the end for extras like do you want it filled? That's extra...you want to print it...that's extra and it all adds up.

I use TurboTax. Really simple and walks you through all the steps.

Turbo Tax online every year! It's fast and easy!
my wife did it for years, she was good. degree in accounting. now my ex. now i go to a real accountant. that way if something goes wrong someone that knows those things are done can tell the IRS how it was prepaired.
