What is the best wheelie bar for savage xl that is used for bashing? Didn't know how well the plastic one would hold up.

I use a Traxxas T-MAXX wheelie bar and some zip ties. Sounds hack I know but I still have the height adjustment and if I have a bad landing the zip ties break away without damaging the rear skid plate. Plus with the two wheels it's more stable than just the single wheel when I get it up on the back wheels.

I'm prolly going to be going with the integy one it also has two wheels. I didn't know if itd be better have the plastic one for hard landings. Hard to keep front wheels on the ground if u gun it. Got a new body don't wana tear it up like this one from flipping over from gunning it.

Turn the punch setting down on your ESC and use better throttle control and you wont need a wheelie bar. Unless your just into that sort of thing, then by all means knock yourself out :) If you were gonna go with one honestly I think the plastic HPI one is fine....its alot cheaper than the Integy one also. My :2cents:

Oh my bad....It does say XL doesn't it....I guess I need to learn how to read better....ok then use my previous statement just remove the punch/ESC part :P Either way I dont think you need the expensive integy one regardless of whether its flux or XL.

Hamz threw me with his FLUX statement :P I blame him!

on ebay the integy one is about the same price as the plastic one

Friend's don't let friends buy Integy. Their stuff looks pretty but doesn't hold up.

Well I agree but I'm gonna take a chance on some rear hub carriers that eliminate the rear turnbuckles made by them..... I will see how it goes.

I have purchased a few integy parts and definately have mixed feelings about them. never had a problem with shock towers but their shocks always leak and are garbage unless your going for a "Show" truck only. I would seriously reconsider getting the integy wheelie bar if its the one with two small wheels. its a great concept that provides much better stability than just one but reviews say those integy wheels break and fall off easily.
