Getting the lx2 ready to start my journey on the track. I've notice that this kit needs to be shimmed. So i was wondering what would be ideal. Right now there's at least 2-3mm of slack on the wheels.

One of the 4 has a good .5mm feels ok to me.

thats usually normal, my agama has about that as well, i shimmed and tightened everything up and it made it harder to drive, everything was WAY TOUCHY, i would try to run it like it is and see how it does.

I was thinking of doing that but just wasn't sure if that would harm the ability to learn how to drive at the track. Lol i put my emaxx on the track and ran in to the wall on every corner.
I think this track it for 1/10. It just seemed too narrow. 6ft wide i think.

Slop can be a pain to track down the problem. Often it's one area, and that in turn manifests into other areas wearing out, etc. so it's hard to make one change to fix it, at least in my exprience. It's probably the only down-side to c-hub design.

One thing I did that helped is put some pipe-thread on the screws that go into pivot balls throughout the steering setup. Just a small amount to reduce the play...but of course you still want a little play.
