Well I got my revo.. And everything was great untill it wouldnt start.. i looked around and saw the carb had broken. Fuel wasn't going in.

Now i got a new carb and the thing sticking out for the fuel line is in a wierd spot and when I try to start this thing its hell. Takes tons of priming then ezstart cranking and more priming and its just a pita.. I think it has something to do with the way that new "nozzle" on the carb is facing..

Any idea's once again this thing is brand new..

you can loosen the nut shaped like area above that nipple that the fuel line attaches to and spin/rotate your nipple around to where u want it.

did u set the new carb to the same settings as the old?

kk thanks i was wondering because under that screw there were 2 holes and i was wondering if the needed to be lined up with the nipple.

The carb was set to stock again, when i got it started i tuned it pretty well
(running a little rich to be safe)

yea i know.. But the thing is its still not starting very reliably.. takes a lot to get it to start and fuel seems to be getting all over the rear shocks area.

sounds like your way rich, over priming, or have a leak in the exhaust somewere...

Ok maybe this will help you better diagnose the issue... these are just some weird things I've noticed.

1) The fuel all over the place..

2) Steam / smoke coming from around the coupler of the exhaust and header...
header has turned really brownish in areas over the last few days.. (burning fuel i think)

3) when starting no fuel seems to move through the lines till i plug the stinger..

Now that I list em.. it looks like the exhaust.. is it? I didn't have a ziptie on one end of the coupler (end that goes over the header) .. could that be it??

Totally Unrealated: Where os a cheap place to get some bowtie tires and rims for the revo?

Just a couple of thoughts!
1. Is your head tightend down all the way, might want to check.
2. Replace fule tubing if needed, I usually replace stock anyway and put a longer one for more time till the motor stalls out during a flip.
3. Put a new glow plug in and try that.
4. It does sound rich, try leaning the high and low needles in a hour or two.

God I Still can't Get This Thing To Start! I'm about ready to take this thing to HobbyWorks and see what they can do with it..

-The head is tightened down.
-Fresh Fuel Lines
-New Glowplug
-Leaned The HSN a little bit but the LSN is set to flush ( Default )

Any More Idea's????

Check for a crack in the coupler or muffler. That could be causing your problems.

Well I finnally got this &$*#er started and now.. I can't tune it! When i accelerate it cuts off, No bogging down sound it just shuts off and rolls..

I set it back to 4 turns out and same thing i set it in 1 whole turn and same thing.. its like the carb doesn't affect the engine..

Any Ideas???

Could the backplate be letting air leak in? between the motor and the EZ Start. There's only 3 screws that hold it on, when there should REALLY be 4.

the zip tie does affect it in the way that its loosing pressure and not being able to pump the fuel into your carb. my coupler was ripped and my fuel wouldnt move down the line when i tried priming it. you reset all the needles to factory settings and maybe raising your idle.
