BESLAN, Russia -- Russian officials now confirm that more than 100 people are dead after commandos stormed a school where hundreds were being held hostage.

Officials also say more than 400 others were hospitalized with injuries, about half of them children.

But the incident apparently still isn't over. The Interfax new agency reports that three militants remain blockaded in the basement of the school, possibly including the head hostage-taker.

And a regional security official says some hostages are still being held.

It's been a chaotic scene, with explosions, gunfire and screams of fleeing children.

the reports on cnn.com say that the terrorists started shooting kids and blowing up bombs before the russian commandos attacked. What it really shows is the state of mind of muslim terrorists. They were demanding that russia withdraw from chechnia. Well obviously that is not going to happen, and they know that. They took over that school to murder kids and make the biggest news impact they could. How they think that will help their cause is beyond me.

I will say, that the Russians can be a very sensitive bunch and look @ their history. This shite isn't the Fault of the Russian "goverment" and the EVIL mofo's commiting these Hanus acts will be held Responsible(I hope). I can only prey that this Evil ends without further loss of Innocent human life.

I can't think of a single useful thing to come from the entire muslim world since they invented arabic numbers and the concept of zero about 2000 years ago. Since then they invented suicide bombing, they mastered the mass murder of office workers, and now they are mastering techniques for murdering school kids. I hope they are very proud of their accomplishments.

This thread will eventually end up in FFA, but the point is valid. The sad fact is that the non muslim world is just starting to see that at the end of the day, it will be them (the muslims) or the rest of the world left standing. I've seen news footage and interviews where it was plainly stated by devout muslims that their purpose in life is to either convert others to their cult of personality, or eliminate anyone that doesn't. To them, anyone that isn't muslim is going to hell anyway, and the faster the better. How can anyone reason with a mindset like that. In the end, it will be us or them, no middle ground, no compromise. Sad, but true.
