if I'm not gettin wheelies with my sportmaxx. Everyone talks about wheelies on command and mine does it rarely. Just wondering if someone could explain to me what i am doing wrong.

You're worrying about it too much, that's what's wrong. Believe me when I say that wheelies aren't everything. As a matter of fact, they get to be a downright pain in the butt. They look cool the first few times, but then you realize that you can't steer when it happens. And if you're trying to accelerate into a ramp or something, there is little you can do with your wheels in the air. My advice, don't worry about it. There's more to bashing than wheelies.

Oh i know for racing purposes i dont want wheelies. But I'm more worried with the power I'm may be losing somewhere. What do you think?

It may have absolutely nothing to do with power. You may not have the right gearing for wheelis on demand. You may not have your engine tuned to the point where it will kill itself to give you wheelies on command. Regardless of what the cause, if you think wheelies are somekind of indication that you have things tweaked just right...then you have a bit to learn.

Hey.
I think i know your problem.
My sportmaxx rarely did wheelies in the winter BECAUSE, The asphalt is always wet and icy. Today our asphalt dried up Completely, and just from wheelies, i ruined by body mount nubs.
wheelies are cool for about 10 seconds, and then they suck.
The only thing i am doing with wheelies is trying to keep the front end in the air and not flip over.
Also It may b e that you have not tuned the needles snce break in. check your manual for safe but preforrmance inhancing tuning suggestions.

Alos skymaxx, i agree w/ you completely.
You might be able to tune it for wheelies, but then you will lose control from the acceleration, and probably not get good top end because it is so lean. and for racing, WHEELIES BLOW.

Good luck!!

Man, you need to change that pic and make it smaller. It screws up my browser. I have to keep rolling to the right to read the end of people's posts.

Don't be pissed, it's just kind of annoying.

I was wondering why that pic showed up again. Yeah that sig is way outside of the limits. I think a mod should remove the img tags from it. Another thought about the not being able to wheelie is that your gearing could not be low enough or your suspension may be too tight in the ass end of the truck.

I appreciate the help...I just need to tune it better. I'm still new to this and learning...What should i set my needles to..I here that 3 to 3 1/2 out is good...any opinions?
