I'm in Ville Platte, it's a small town about 2 hours west of Meterie. I know how you feel man, you can find good food anywhere but certain things can only be found in Loouisiana...and mainly in the southern part of the state. When you do find "cajun food" in other places it's just not the same!

You don't know what your missing :D

ha ha ha,..... My sisters hubby's family is from Ville Platte. Been there a few times myself back in the day when I was young. Funny as well I just scored a bottle of Slap Ya Mamma seasonings from VPLA. And yes a loose term of Cajun food is a bit of a joke. I have to cook my own when I want it.

Nachos today!

Spagetti O's today.

BBQ Chicken today.

Hot dog special from the umbrella room. 2 sabretts with mustard, ketchup, relish and kraut. Bag o chips and a soda all for $4.50. Happy camper since client bought me lunch to boot. :)

shake n bake pork chop with mashed potatoes....I'm hungry for Popeye's right now!

I'm going to town in a bit and will prolly eat at Shary's, prolly a burger.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm Popeye's...that's one thing I really miss about the last company I worked for. Popeye's was a 5 minute walk away and I had it at least once a week. Now I am lucky to get it once a year.

Splurged a bit today since I was running late and forgoy my lunch bucket ont he kitchen counter. Oh well.. So I went to Calzone Jack's and got a meatball parm sub with extra suace and provalone cheeze. yummmmmo!!

I spent $18 on a Flat Iron steak with shrimp and stuffed hashbrowns and it was so unfeeling that I stopped by Mcdonalds and got a $1 cheeseburger lol.

Fried chicken, potatoes and gravy and biscuit :)
