I've seen 3 feet, with drifts to 12 feet. That was a one time deal.
I've seen several at 2 feet drifting to 4 feet.
I saw that on top of a hill in an area called the stiperstones, which is probably the only place I don't feel comfortable being in, it's the most desolate, rocky place, is eerily quiet and I once saw a massive black dog at a t junction, there are supposed to be wild cats in the area.

A few people have died in lightning strikes too as well as there being abandoned mines.

That horrible rock is the Devils Chair. Bloody horrible place...
Legend has it that the devil sits on his chair in the hope that it sinks, and that once the stiperstones sinks, the whole of England is doomed.

Really looks like an uncomfortable place to hang out.
Just driving through the place is uncomfortable. Although there are some good sledging spots, but I wouldn't like to be there after dark...

I love touring holidays in the UK. Midlands through Wales has some great roads, watch out for the sheep!!

Once drove from Nottinghamshire to North Wales (wrexham), via Old Macclesfield Road, I think. Either way, some gorgeous roads. Ninnon, I have visited Shropshire, very nice area.

I have been through Yorksire, visited Goathland (Heartbeat), Thirsk ( all creatures great and small).

Since this thread is about lunch.. I love fish and chips!!

Cup of Noodles today.

*appetising

ap·pe·tiz·ing
ˈapəˌtīziNG/
adjective
adjective: appetising
stimulating one's appetite.
"the appetizing aroma of sizzling bacon"
synonyms: mouthwatering, inviting, tempting;

Funny you should point that out. I've been noticing a lot, lately, that z is being replaced by s in so many words. Don't know why.
I majored in English, and it always had a Z. Spelling it with an S just looks so wrong to me.

It's US vs UK spelling. I noticed that you said fish and chips, instead of whatever you call fish and chips, if you have them. To you they are battered fish served with thick fries and what we call curry sauce. You generally have them on a cold miserable beach preferably in the rain, and hope that a seagull doesn't come and nick your chips, ice cream or pasty- if you choose to have a pasty, which can only be bought in Cornwall or Devon...

Polska kalbasa sausage with sauerkraut, fried potatoes and onions in canola oil with salt and fresh cracked four seasons peppercorns.
