Whatcha Printing?

Just a thought but what about an air duct from the front of the car mounted in the body filtered by a grill or screen to the motor area?
You got room for that in the body? Maybe where the front wind screen is?
I thought about incorporatibg some kind of duct but I'm not sure I can model it correctly without a scanner and I'd be worried about it breaking on a hard crash

Got it.
Well the beauty of 3d printing is that if you do break it you can just print another.

my crappy ass printer isn't printing cuz the build plate is 60x70x90 mm and the material isn't sticking to the plate. but I'm getting the new bambulab a2l so I can print everything I want
If you can afford it, I strongly recommend getting one of their enclosed 3D printers for more material options. I have the Bambu Lab P1S with two AMS units which has a build volume of 256mm per axis. It's large enough that it can print just about anything that I want it to.

For larger items I use my Formbot Troodon 2.0 Pro which has a bed that's 350mm per side and a build height of 330mm. It's been over a year since I've had to use it.

If my Bambu Lab P1S is busy and I need another part printed I print it on my Prusa MK3.9s which has a build volume of 250mm by 210mm by 220mm as long as the part is PLA, PETG, or TPU.

Though I've printed small ABS parts on my Prusa MK3.9s, ABS really needs to printed in an enclosed printer.

Though I very rarely print using ABS, PETG and PLA are my favorite two filaments to print with.

So, 33 years ago I was supposed to go to art school when I graduated high school. My favorite thing to do was draw cartoons. Ended up not going to school...no regrets, but, I haven't done much with art until recently. Getting into RC and then getting a printer has really helped me bring my creativity back out.
My buddy asked me to 3D print this Great Cornholio toilet paper holder as a gift for his son, who's birthday is this Friday -https://makerworld.com/en/models/572665-beavis-the-great-cornholio-tp-roll-holder?from=search
His son is the once that got me into RC and is responsible for all of this LOL

Since my printer only prints one color, I ended up with a grey silhouette.

I took a look at what it was supposed to look like, sketched it with pencil, and went to work.

A few hours later, thanks to learning about Posca paint markers from the guy who asked me to make this, I got it done.

I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

And I think his son will be trhilled to get it. I'll be giving it to him today at church.
Originally, we thought it would print a little more 3D, like, the lines separating the colors would be raised. The dad was doing to then do the painting, basically just filling in the sections. But when it came out flat, he knew he wouldn't be able to pull it off. Since I ended up doign all of the painintg, he told me I should give it to him.

And, yes, I will include the TP, too 🤣
