Mexican is my favorite!
And it always comes with a margarita!
Next to Chinese, Thai, Indian, Italian, Greek, Japanese, American, and yes on the top of my list Mexican by far, for me, they all require a glass or two of Iced Tea. Most often straight up Black, hold the lemon go easy on the ice. Be it Chai, Thai, flavored or not or on occasion bubble tea. Green, White or ole' man Earl Grey or Ginseng. Yes, I need to have Iced Tea. Nectar of the Gods 😋 !!!!!

Try dunkin' an Oreo double stuf, a chocolate chip a pecan sandy or a cinnamon graham cracker in a margarita. I just don't see it happenin'. Not for me anyway 😂. If you happen to bump into me at a party, a dinner out, lunch on the deck, hangin' at a friend's Casa, snack in the garage working on motorcycles the chances of finding a glass of that Black Tea close by is almost 100% guaranteed 😉.

Pfft....Everybody knows that Oreos are best when dunked in straight tequila, and not in a margarita.

Looks good, I wish we could use cast iron skillets again. Unfortunately it can leach iron into the body and
I can't have a lot of iron.
That's is unfortunate at best. My Dr. Has a lot of ideas about what I'm not supposed to eat, but.....
If cholesterol is the silent killer, and stress is also the silent killer.....will I live longer stressing myself out, forcing down a diet that tastes like seaweed and sawdust....we may never know.

My problem is, I have blood issues and if not controlled it causes liver damage.
In order to control the iron overload, I have to give blood often and I swear the needle they
use is the size of a spade shovel.
It's quite painful so I watch the iron intake and avoid it as much as possible.

That sounds tough, I do not envy your position. Fortunately there is a lot of good food without a high iron content.

Yes there is and the wife is an amazing cook. She can make a combat boot taste good.

Curious, how you know that detail?
🧐
Have you tried both plain and Ms Frog's ? :hehe:

Came to a small family owned Mexican restaurant I've been coming to for years only to find out the ownership has changed. Having a Chimichanga but not impressed. Not sure if I'll be back. This is too bad 😢. It's like losing a good friend.

Now I know you have heard of snake skin boots, what about frog slippers?

I feel you man. We haven't gone to the Mexican place in our own town for years. Food's average and service is horrible.
We drive about 1/2 hour to our current favorite.
I'm sorry to hear that too bro. I remember when the original place opened up. Over the years I got to know the female waitstaff, couple of them could hardly speak English. I had a favorite Burrito I liked and they knew that's what I was gonna order everytime. The manager (of the other restaurant) gave me his number so I could call ahead to make sure they had Flan available for me.
As I was leaving today I slowed way down took a slow look around the interior of this new owner's place because I'm not going back. As I mention, it is like I'm losing a real good friend. One less of my favorite places to eat 😔.
