I started making this when I was a kid. Mom would make breakfast - two eggs, bacon, and toast. I always put mom's homemade raspberry jam on my toast My dad was always rushing me out the door for whatever project we were doing that day, so I just took my plate of food and turned it into a sandwich. The peanut butter was added later. It helps hold everything together
