Let me share my horror story at the top notch St. Lukes Medical Center Boise.
ICU, they took really good care of me, always on top of what I needed, answered my call button immediately.
Then they move me upstairs.
I needed to sit up in a chair and get out of the very uncomfortable bed.
I'm sitting up looking out the window and eating my lunch and all of a sudden a bug falls in my food.
WTF? I look up at the window and the bugs are thick in the window on the inside.
I hit the call button and they come in 20 minutes later.
They did absolutely nothing with the bugs.
I wanted to take a shower and they said they will figure out the oxygen situation because I was on a machine.
Two days later I finally get to shower. The disgusting wet moldy towels were still laying on the bathroom floor when I left.
The blankets were so filthy I threw them in a corner and my son brought me one.
They were still laying there when I left.
The garbage can in the bathroom was over flowing and full of the most vile smelling crap ever. I know because I put it there.
It was still there when I left.

It's amazing how such poorly run places stay in business.
This is supposed to be the top hospital in Idaho.
My cancer institute is a town south of us and it's the part of the
hospital but it is top notch and they treat people like kings.

Lunch, earlier today: shrimp and canned octopus! @Doom! worst nightmare!
It was very good! Except for the fresh tomatoes, which didn't compliment the dish at all.

Beef tips in gravy, mashed potatoes for dinner and Mrs. Doom is in the kitchen whipping up a batch of bread pudding for dessert. :) No cephalopods or arthropods were harmed in the making of this meal. 😜
