Checking out some hot sauce I got for like a $1.15 yesterday. Good flavor, not much for heat.

Yeah, all that stuff that has vinegar as one of the first ingredients is pretty much vinegar water to me, no heat at all, and way too vinegar forward.

Now that I have made some room in the bottle looking for the heat.....a good shot of this and a shake ....I'm betting on something it being something I will use.

I just grabbed a bottle of Tobasco's Siracha snd I really like it.

None of the grocery store brand hot sauces I have tried are that hot. I really like Kinder's Honey Hot bbq sauce, but I add white pepper and cayenne to it. That combination 1:1 will add a nice bite to anything 🥵

The tobasco Chipotle has great flavor, and some heat.

Left over glazed ham and scalloped potatoes for lunch today, I was going to take a pic but after being squished in my lunch container it wasn't to photogenic. I tasted great though. 🤣

I've not been to a Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers restaurant since my best friend took me to one a couple years ago. I made it to one today for lunch. Three chicken finger combo meal. I forgot how good it was.

My sisters neighbor brought me over a couple of Tamales, they were soooo good.
This little Hispanic lady makes them and they are incredible.
They are one of the best things I've ever had when made right. I sat with my Mexican buddies at lunch at the shop where I made the drone stuff, and I don't care what anybody says, you cannot beat authentic Mexican food. The tres leches cake my buddy brought in one day for his uncle's birthday, I was blown away. His mom made it and I told him to ask her to adopt me.

I've mentioned before, I can live on Tamales. The lady that made them can't speak a word of English, but she loves me and my sister.
My wife is an amazing cook also and she is going to try making Tamales.

Pizzas: mozz, ricotta, Italian sausages, pepperoni, mushrooms, red peppers, and onions. 1 pie has mozzarella cheese and the other pie has pepper jack.
Dessert was Tillamook dark cherry ice cream with chocolate syrup.

I'm working on being more careful with my eating since I've developed Type 2 Diabetes in my 60s. When my sweet tooth used to kick in, I'd have ice cream, cookies, etc. Instead, tonight I made a batch of oatmeal.

I chopped up some almonds, walnuts, and sunflower seeds, then added ground flax seed, some dried blueberries, cranberries and raisins and a little bit of butter. Tasty and healthy. Changing my eating habits is proving effective... my blood test this week showed my A1C is below 6 for the first time since it's been monitored regularly. It helps in other ways, too. I've lost 13 pounds since summer.

(I know I should post a photo to go along with this but I'm one of the few folks who doesn't own a mobile phone, so it's a bit of a project to do so. To post a photo, I have to break out the mirrorless digital Nikon, take the photos, remove the storage card or connect the camera to download the files to the computer, edit them to reduce the file size, then upload them.)
