Saw this on YT, so, tonight, I gave it a try: sausage gravy and biscuit casserole. There were pepperoni in the fridge, so I threw some on half. Not bad!

Stopped in a Mexican restaurant today for lunch I've not been to in quite some time. Carne Asada, yeah you guessed it, Burrito. This Burrito was so HUGE. I did, however, get it all down. While driving home though I was debating if I should pull off to the side of the road. I'll let you imagine the "what for" 😮.

I've ran out of rye flour.

the one on the left is still just rye, but the "pumpernickel" on the right was yet another experiment. About 80% of the flour is teff flour. This time it won the caramelization race, I'm guessing because I added 40mL of caramel sauce to jumpstart the process. It tastes amazing.
I've had some avocado🥑 pumpernickel toast this morning and I made it again later for my mom

Breakfast, at 5:30, this morning was 3 hard boiled eggs, seaweed salad, a bowl of generic honey bunches of oats cereal, and an Oikos yogurt with a best before date of 7/27/25(it smell and tasted fine).

You lost me at seaweed salad and expired yogurt. To be fair, the yogurt was already bad when it was put into the container at the factory. LOL

Good, more for me!

Those best by dates are a marketing sham! Producers just want you to buy more of their products quicker. You should be able to tell when food, especially dairy products, are bad. Heck, I've eaten several Duncan Hines cake in a cup, I'd found, buried in the pantry, that was 7 years expired. Did not get remotely sick. Why would I?.....there's barely any natural ingredients in the product. Yet there's an expiration date.

Maybe my GI is just built like that of a billy goat 🤔

I don't disagree with your premise, but, having had severe food poisoning before, I'm not risking the medical bills over a few bucks worth of food. YMMV however. It was more a joke about your food choices. LOL The only time I eat seaweed is if there's sushi hiding inside it. I also have the GI of a goat, my wife constantly reminds me that what isn't hot to me is brutal for normies. LOL

My post was mainly tongue in cheek, as well. Luckily, I've never had serious food poisoning, but I can understand the once bitten, twice shy psychology. I just have an issue with throwing away "good" food. Its not so much about money, as it is about being wasteful. Wastefullness was a big sin, ingrained into me and my siblings, during our humble beginning. Once again, psychology.
