What would cause a engine not to start?

My GAWD, this is getting rediculous. Folks can't understand when you type half sentences and use words that don't even make sense.

"clipping the sleeve"

NitroJoe - I don't know what the heck he's talking about but generally this is referred to as a "pinch". There are a couple of companies out there that will pinch the sleeve to revive the engine's performance. Basically, they put the piston and sleeve in some sort of machine that compresses (pinches) the sleeve tighter around the piston. This improves compression and is much cheaper than purchasing a new piston/sleeve or an entirely new engine. Usually, it's in the $20-$30 range.

Sounds to me, after reading some instructions, that my engine might just be to lean? That I would havto richen it a little?

Try it. We give the best info we can based on what you said is happening. We aren't there to hear/see/feel what's happeneing so try everything you can. Then if the results are the same, you can bet the engine is wasted and you can decide on how you want to fix it. Or best case scenario, you get it running like you want!
