when i get a .18 dropped into my rs4 what new items will i need for the new engine that i can't use from my .15? i have the non pull start lightened flywheel so i will have to replace that right? also can i just take the roto start backplate off my .15 and it will fit on the .18(and not have to bother with a pull starter nor buying a new flywheel)? do i use the same flywheel nut and clutch bell ? aso is the regular crank and sg shaft the same thing? will i need to buy engine mounts? the engine I'm getting is the XTM .18 since it worked out for AC48 so well i thought i would try it.

Is that a rear exhaust engine? If so, you'll need to get HPI's exaust manifold. If it's a standard shaft, you should be able to use your existing flywheel. I don't think you'll be able to adapt an SG engine to the rs4. The roto start back plate will probably not fit, so you'll need to use a starter box.

Have you looked at the HPI or EPIC 18 engines? I believe they'll both bolt right in, with all of the hardware you have right now.

i already asked a guy who did it but thanks for posting anyway.
