what is a better truck the savage 2350 brushless or the e-revo brushless or any other suggestions? Please help me make my choice.

personaly I would say the e-revo but I havent tride the savage line out yet so I can't give my opinion on that... Brushless e-maxx is a monster aswell

Depends on what you are doing. The Savage is way more solid but the Revo handles better. Heavy Bashing is the Savage niche for sure.

I love my Revo and my mERV, but for just bashing the Savage is a beast.

:DWhat they said^^:hehe: The savage has plenty of speed, and it arguably one of the best bashers out there! The e revo is a bit lower to the ground, handles a bit better, and you could race it as a truggy(at some tracks) It really all comes down to what you want to do.
Bashing: Savage
Racing/ street: erevo
Hope this helps!

I will be bashing most of the time but i have heard that the savage is harder to work on. Is that true and is the motor and esc up to the same standards as the castle mamba?

what truck in the long run would i have to put the least amount of money in to?

The Savage Flux is using a re-badged version of the Mamba Monster from what I've been told.

Again it depends on what you want to do. Both are fairly good out of the box.

does the hp run on 6s and the 2350 only runs on 4s or is that right? If so i guess the hp is the way to go then.
and p.s thanks for all rhe responce!

the hp on 6s is an incredible machine. i think speed wise it will out run a stock erevo... it wont out handle one though. yes you will have to go with the flux hp not the 2350. i would so like to see a drag race with a factory erevo and flux hp straight out the box, same batteries...my money is on the flux to out torque and out run the revo but if you throw jumps and turns like on a track the revo will win hands down

you guys are making it hard on me to choose. I have had all traxxas so i am kind of scared to try anything else but there is only one way to find out what all the hpi lovers have being talking about.please more info this is a huge amount of money to me.does anyone own the hp and the erevo? let me know what you think.

Savages any kind of Savage are 10 times easier to work on that anything by Traxxas. You wanna check the diffs on a Savage? 6 screws and you can pull the cover off and pull the diff out without even taking the wheels or the axles out. Spur gear? 6 screws and the whole top of the trans comes off with the spur gear. I have had both brands Traxxas and HPI I spent more time wrenching on Traxxas stuff than I ever have on either of my Savages. Plus the Flux HP has a metal gear transmission instead of plastic. Plus the HP can run on 2 3s Lipos with up to 22.2 volts. I think the Erevo can only take 16.8.

what are the dimensions of the battery bays on the savage? because i have two lipos that are 3s 11.1v but they are bigger than the average 2s 7.2 and it dosent come with any batterys.

Get on the HPI website and check it out for yourself they have some vids of the Flux HP and the 2350. Both are insane trucks they both will do standing backflips. www.HPIracing.com. I think you will be very impressed!

I have the 2350 and it’s an awesome truck. It’s only designed to run on 4S but the ESC can handle 6S so it appears the limiting factor is motor. I also think the truck is super easy to work on like cwal1774 said.

The only thing I have broken at this point are the pinion gears inside the rear differential but that was my own fault for landing a jump while still on (full) throttle.

My one recommendation if you do get a Savage Flux is to upgrade to the HD drive gear as the stock one will eventually shred itself.

I can't talk about the EREVO because I've never had one.

I owned the HP but recently sold it. You can cut the battery boxes to fit big batteries. I had to on mine and then just wire tied them in. They never came out. The HP is capable of a triple standing backflip but it incredibly hard to land. 2 backflips is easy and 1 flip is even easier. Its very tough, the shafts (axles) are incredibly thick and it has HPI bulletproof diffs already installed. Basically there is no drivetrain upgrade from HPI that you can put on it, it has it all already which is one reason it costs what it does.

Youtube "Flux like a pro" and you wont be able to smack the smile off your face especially after you buy one

Well i already broke down and went with the beast hp like everyone says!It will be here in about 1 week. I can't wait to see whst its all about. So what batterys for this thing? I have some 5000mah 11.1 sky lipos but i think they are to thick. They are 37.9 mm thick and i had to buy the expanntion battery holder for my slash. Will they fit in the hp? if not, is there an expantion hold for the savage?
thank you guys for all the help!!!

those batteries are perfect for it and are actually what i was using. be ready to have a hell of a time controlling it. mine would pull the front wheels up at any speed with em and was fully capable of doing triple standing backflips but 1 and 2 were way easier and less destructive. as i said with those batteries i cut the sides of the boxes out and just used wire ties (zip ties) to hold the batteries in and they never fell out...its a blast to drive but it is insane

I have personally owned both the erevo brushless edition and the savage flux hp, and yes they do have identical powersystems right down to the esc, they both use the castle link software to program them. and to answer the question as to which one is faster, the erevo is just because it is lighter and has better aerodynamics, the flux on the other hand on 6s will do a standing backflip and I believe it will still do it on 4s. as far as maintenance goes, erevo hands down is easier to work on. and they are both very durable trucks, and both are beasts. it just really depends on what body style you like better honestly.....do you like beasty lookin monster trucks or do you like low streamlined futuristic looking cars. oh and on a seperate note the wheelie bar on the flux is not removeable, and the one you can get for the erevo is removeable with the push of a "button"
