Well guys, I have found a use for all those stock parts that I took off the Emaxx when I converted it to BL. My father who just a couple of months ago bought a Stampede, wants me to build him an Emaxx with the old parts. I will have to order the Chassis, Bulks, Chassis Braces, Diff Cups and spider gears, shock towers, Transmission, Tranny gears, and a few other minor parts. I have, all the tires, suspension parts, and ring gears for the diffs, Idler gears for the tranny, ESC, Servos, and both Motors + pinions, spur and slipper. I figure I can get him in an Emaxx for around $200 give or take. It is his money this time though! LOL It ought to be a cool project. A kit Emaxx.... LOL He has been wanting an Emaxx since I got one, then my Brother in law got one and that was it, he had to have one too. So I told him with my stock parts we could probably get him one built. This should be a cool build. Just thought I would share.

Sounds like somebody is jealous, but yea it sounds pretty tight bc you get the fun of building it at no cost to you. Hope you have fun with it. Just try to make it a little different then yours, maybe test out a different product or something.

Oh... mine will be different! LOL His will be stock, and mine will be Brushless:hamster:

Hey Tom, I never had an e-maxx, so I don't know if the bulkheads are the same as a tmaxx or not. But if they are let me know, I have a complete set of stock t-maxx bulks, if they are the same and you want them for your Dads emaxx let me know and I will send them off to you.

I might still have some stock shock towers too, if those are the same.

Hey NC... that would be great! The bulkheads look identical! The only difference that I can tell is that the bulkheads on the Tmaxx are now that grey plastic instead of the black plastic, which gives them a new part number. As far as I can tell they look the same however. The shock towers are the same as well. The Emaxx has the same 'Wide Maxx suspension" as the Tmaxx. I would gladly send you some money if you would like? I guess you need my address? Thanks again! You are a real life saver!

No money needed, just pm me your address and I will get them out to you in the next day or so. I believe I still have the hingepins in the bulks too, but no arms, sorry, these came off an original width maxx, not a wide maxx. I also may have some stock skids, they may be a little scratched but I am pretty sure I still have them if your interested in those too, I'm guessing they are the same. You will still need to get body posts though for the towers, I used the stock ones on my RC Solutions towers, gotta have that weak link, and nothing better for a weak link than a stock traxxas part, lol.

The Emaxx is an awsome truck. I've got both a Tmaxx and Emaxx...well the emaxx is the 5 yr olds truck. Anyhow, stuff like: A-arms, Bulks, drive shafts, shock towers, and diffs will all interchange with both trucks. Keep in mind they make a 1.5 and a 2.5 of eah truck...the 2.5 is a wide maxx. Now if it was me, I would check out Ebay or your local papers. I found my sons Emaxx for 100.00...just needed batteries and body. It was a 1.5 Emaxx but I swaped in some spare Wide Tmaxx parts. Also, the grey parts is basicaly the new parts comming out, like on the 3.3 Revo and Tmaxx etc. They're isn't anything different other than color. Although some say the grey is stronger, I've heard people smashing them on day one.

Ray

PS, comming to a thread near you, 5 yrs olds Emaxx receives Novak Brushlss transplant :gulp:

Thanks for the info Svoray... That is one of the best things about the two trucks... most of the parts are interchangeable. Even the internal diff gears are the same! Traxxas may have a bad wrap, but their marketing strategy is geneus! The Emaxx even comes with a spot to mount the EZ start system in the rear shock tower! LOL

It's more to save money than anything else. I deal with making plastic parts , you can invest a great deal of time and money into a single mold. So it's cheaper to have parts fit multiple trucks. The same thing happens on large scale 1/1 vehicles.

One day if I get some time, I may start remaking some older RC car parts:)

I for one am glad Traxxas decided to go that way! I have heard the Esavage is a great truck, but parts compatablity is an issue. It is definitely a relief knowing that I can always throw a Tmaxx part in there in a pinch. LOL

I would say just say to go and buy the new E-Maxx much better deal and you more better things on it already so do that or stick with your plan or sell all the old parts on e-bay and then buy the new E-Maxx.

+1 to the previous. You can probably make more selling parts than trying to build one out of spares. You can also look to flea-bay for used e-maxx.
