what to do with 200 bucks for the maxx?

what should be done? i have aluminum rear bulks and brace. have a new era roll bar. have a fail safe. stocker radio is workin fine for now.
was thinkin BB i have an aluminum extended BB chassis and a BB motor mount so what else would i need besides the motor if i do that? and what would be likly to break if i do a big block?

Or are there other things i should worry bout doin before i upgrade motors? my 3.3 has maybe a gallon through it and i know i have plenty life left in it so its not like a NEED a BB; so what else should i look into?

Gimme some opinions?
shocks?
arms?
shafts?

or should i jus sit on the money till i break poop then fix it with the upgrade?
Money blows a whole in my pocket when I'm in a hobbie so i jus wanna get some things that will def. improve my maxx and make me love it more?.

according to tower hobbies the picco red dot .26 is a direct replacment for the tmaxx jus need motor mount, if i have the aluminum chassis and a bb mount mount do i really NEED anything else to make this set up work? i would def loosen my slipper until i had the extra cash to fix it up more but for now jus to get this "main upgrade" outta the way do yall think ill be ok with the slipper loosened a bit, so not to blow my tranny apart?
 
a 3 shoe clutch & all metal gears! then use the rest to put towards the red dot.......i raced my buddies revo,both our trucks 2mths old and stock.......my maxx spanked his revo.....his revo now has the red dot and he can't get me by much but and hes breaking stuff,so i would suggest the above b4 putting in that picco.........o and my picco red dot is on layaway so if u get urs b4 me let me know what ya think!!!............ps o and with all metal gears u should be able to keep that slipper tight just the way i like'em

well the 3 shoe i wont need for a while, i have the MIP clutch:D but stuff like that and all metal gears i can get little by little, i think i'd rather knock out the expensive part while i have the money! and i really want more power and speed. I'm thinkin that red dot will do me real nice, i have a ofna force .26 BB i could swap on jus for fun to see what all i break but I'm thinkin that red dot has alot more power than the force would.
 
I'm a newbe but i do know that the red dot brought my buddies revo from 6ft behind me stock to being a foot infront of me.......and its an angry sounding engine.......all i know is hes stripped every gear in the revo in a few days.....so unless u wanna spend all ur $$$ for 5mins of fun i personally would start making her stronger first.......it took my buddy 5 dayz to get his picco broke in cause every time he tried to drive it he broke something else

maybe this is a stupid question........but what is an MIP clutch?
 
LOL I think you just want a BB. Which I can't blame you, I know the feeling, but I think you'll kick yourself in the A$$ when you break tons of stuff and spend more time working on it then enjoying it.
 
3 shoe clutch heavy duty trans inners heavier shocks and shock oil and maybe larger tires
 
if there anything i can do to my stock set up to get more power? I'm not too too worried about my top speed anymore, after bashin around on my buddies track, i kinda want a little more torque for take off so when i come outta the turns i have time to gun it to clear the jumps. can the 3.3 be bored or anything like that? do they sell and perfomance kits? strokers? somethin to boost some power, i was even thinkin of goin with a picco or OS 21 cause they make the same power the 26 does, still around same price but jus not a much bigger motor? any thoughts, suggetions?
 
What about gearing down with some nice Robinson racing gears, give that a shot and I bet you will find your torque.
 
yeah i think I'm going to give the 15T bell a try and mess with the 18T as well, and if that fails I'm not goin with the .26 anyway, i was talkin to this guy "squirrel" and he was tellin me about the os 21! it makes the same power, wieghs less, and i know OS motors hold a tune really well, i know it costs a little more but i think i would like it more than the .2 plus being a 21 its not goin all out BB! any thoughts?
 
OS 21 TM is a great motor for the Tmaxx just a little expensive for me @ $300. I often think about beefing up the 3.3 in my Revo but it does great @ $115 replacement and I think I will save the big HP mods for Rigs that are built to take it like the LST of Savage. There are a little too many plastic parts in my Tmaxx and Revo to me compared to my Savage and LST2. my .02
 
this is true! my buddy said he sell me a savage(outta spare parts layin around) for only 250! i would need to buy a few odds and ins here and there for the build but i was thinkin bout doin that too but i want my "T-MAXX" to be "THE-MAXX"! but it does run pretty great and has decent power for what it is, i supose a smaller clutch bell and a couple upgrades could get it where i would be happy with it though, since it runs. Then jus put the money into having another vehicle too so I'm not only messin with one rig cause then i would have more fun swappin rigs, plus right now i have an ofna buggy with a force 26 on it and it flys! but I'm sellin it is how I'm gettin the extra 200 bucks, its like brand new too(few months old with still only maybe half gallon through it)
 
ok went to rc superstor . com, tell me if i missed anything on the upgrade list!
and yes i chose integy bulks, my rears are holding up great so why not throw in the fronts since i found them this cheap, and i got a set of big bores with 12lbs. springs at my buddy's house gettin em' for 50 bucks and they still new! so this is what i've decided i need/want, tell me what ya think?
