What should be my first 6s

Depends what kind of batteries u have. Do you have a single 6s, or two 3s?

On road or off? The infraction and felony are great on blacktop. Off-road I'd say outcast or kraton. The 6s Typhon is cool but not really a basher. For most of them you'll need a pair of 3s's.

What? Not a basher. o_O I remember reading a RCCA article on 1/8 scale buggies many, many years ago. The author used a statement that stuck with me... they are the "tanks" of the RC world. If a person is coming from years of RCing with 1/10 stuff, a 1/8 scale buggy is a game changer IMO. While I might not strap a 6S LiPo in one, an eBuggy should always be a top pick for someone looking to "bash".

Anyways, a monster truggy would be my top pick/recommendation for someone looking for their first 6S platform. I waited, and waited for Tekno to release their new ET48 that I wanted to build into a monster truggy. The waiting ended for me when Arrma brought out what I had envisioned doing to a normal truggy... the Kraton EXB. If my wife would tell me I could only have one RC, that one RC would be the Arrma Kraton. Luckily, my wife buys me most of my toys.:thumbs-up:

I guess my experience has been a lot different. I've had several buggies over the years, including the typhon. I recently converted a Slash 4x4 to a buggy. None of them have held up all that well to my bash sessions. Don't get me wrong, you can bash any RC, but I think there are a lot tougher options for it than buggies. I consider my Xmaxx a tank and compared to that, the typhon is pretty fragile.

For someones first 6s rig, I would want to go with something on the durable side. JMHO

Typhon is hard to beat for a first 6s rig. They can do it all and survive.

Then, once you decide to go full potato, you can truggify it and land triple backflips.

I've owned more than 50 different RC's over the years. Currently we have close to 30. The 6S Kraton is our only 6S rig, but it is a tank. It's really powerful, and is just a blast to drive. I would like to get the Outcast and Typhon some day as well.

But I do not consider buggies to be Bashers. Yeah, you can bash em. But Bashing to me is hitting crazy jumps, rolling, and basically just driving without care. Buggies are my thing, and while they will do that, I don't try to do backflips and such with them. I don't send them flying through the air. I see them as more of a track vehicle with low shallow long jumps being what they are great at. I guess in my view of things, that's not bashing.

I do agree with you Kevin, but keep in mind, the meaning of the word "bashing" for RC is "Unorganized, freestyle driving", so anything that isn't regulated racing and such can be considered bashing. I think buggies are great for people like me, who like off-road, but somehow end up running a lot on tarmac, but yet don't want a full blown on-road rig. Buggies are also excel at racing when set up right, in fact, buggies are what most races use, then truggies. Buggies do good on intermidiate on-road to intermidiate off-road. You can't bash them to h*ll like some MTs, but that's not the point. Oh, don't forget, buggies also handle the best out of any style of RC, so I've heard. I own a budget buggy, and it drives great. I can only imagine how a high-end one would handle!

Also, buggies can do speed runs pretty good, or be turned into a truggy, in some cases, for geater off-road and bashing capabilities.

30 RCs is no joke, that's a sign that you're sticking with this hobby! You have almost 15 times the amount of rigs I currently have 🤣🤣
