Cracked Tank

Well i just purchased my bros buggy as many of you know, well i ran it for the first time today and what do you know i break somrthing. Imuct have a jinx on me cuz nothing ever wernt good with my maxx i just sold now i get this and first tank drivine, i break the gas tank. I cracked it when i hit the curb, i forgot to pull the antena up and it went out of range and hit the curb o well i hope the LHS has a tank that will fit, its kinda funny cuz he never broke anything and now i get it and break something when I'm driving the first tank of gas. I sure love it alot though its a great little buggy.

get a failsafe and always pull the antenna up before you even turn the radio on so this don't happen again. And if your brother didn't break anything on that buggy, It was way over due to happen. :-)

i presume the engine was broken in, and not a new 1 in there when u got it?

yes, thats correct, got it from my bro man do hate my LHS. They just carry parts for the Savage and t-maxx mainly. They dont sell any buggeis and have horrible customer service, i know alot of ppl say suppoart your LHS but mine sucks, but waht should i expect thats Alabama for you.

Well when you have a LHS like that then I would say go elswhere, We had a LHS around here like that, but they went out of business LOL now there are lots of very good online shops that ship very fast and have good and in some cases better prices then the LHS...

Yep i always get my stuff off tower now days and only get fuel and the basincs from teh LHS, Its a Hobby town USA, so. But yeah i just shop online now days dont know what I'm going to do when i get out of the house guess ill have to get a credit card,LOL

As far as breakage goes, keep in mind that the colder it gets, the easier things break. Plastic or nylon parts that are very flexible in summer, get very brittle and will snap on impact in cold weather.

By the way, outside ambient temperature has no effect on the curbs you hit. They always take less damage than the car that hits them.

No i told the story wrong the curb just came and hit the buggy i swear, next time ill just have to watch out for those darn curbs, always trying to run into me.LMAO! Thanks for that little bit of knoledge rolex.LMAO

Hey is there any way to patch the crack i think i did it good enough heres what i did. I got the micro torch out and melted it together really good but i melted a whole in it so i tood some excess plastic off another part of the tank and patched the whole. Incase there was a nother small or unpatched area i put some RTV over the parts i patched. Should this hold? I think it should me fine, what yoll think.
