Hi guys,

Some of you may of seen my other thread, I've been helping my old man clear out his garage and come across a couple of little beauties! The first one I accidentally broke a bit yesterday but I found another one this morning, can anyone tell me what it is?

It's hpi branded both the control and the engine but I'm trying to figure out what as it appears it's missing a clutch and I'll need a replacement, as well as a few bearings and a new shell as it doesn't have one at the moment.

Thanks for your help

Looks like a Rush Evo to me buddy.
Maybe look into a new cooling head while you're at it.:hehe:

Yeah it's a bit worse for wear! Been in storage for probably 5+ years.

Thanks for that I'll look and see if they match :)

Also' does anyone know roughly much a clutch will cost to have installed on this? Unsure whether this is worth repairing or mot

Rule of thumb....if you want something done right do it yourself! Lol, in all seriousness buy the clutch for 10$ or so and we will walk you through the simple process

So glad i joined, been a great help!

Would you be able to tell me exactly what parts as when i find clutches they seem to be in various parts and if I'm honest i dont know whAts still on the car and what isnt

You have nothing to worry about MM, people here will help you with whatever you need.

Here's a closer picture of what I've got ATM. It looks like I've found a clutch bell and a flywheel although the flywheel seems wrong.

Can anyone explain what I need to get this up and running? Assembly seems straight forward after a little fiddle. :)

The flywheel is already installed on the engine you just need the clutch&clutch spring the clutch will be in 2 pieces and the spring wraps around them each shoe will have a hole in it which will correspond to the 2 pins on the flywheel, clutch shoes slide onto pins, spring goes around shoes, clutcbell"the gear in the pic with the shroud or bell"goes over the clutch and will probably be secured with a c clip, there will be 2 sealed bearings in the cb, do not use ones with a rubber seal,
The other gear"big one"is your spur gear and that gets installed just to the left of the engine in your pic, there is a set of preasure plates there we call a "slipper clutch"the gear basically gets sandwhiched between the plates

Sweet as. So I need a pair of clutch shoes, a new clutch bell as the one I have has no seal or clip with it at all. And as for the larger gear, does that literally just get placed between the 2 discs on the left hand side? The slipper clutch as you called it.

Thanks for he help!

The cb requires 2 sealed bearings one on the inside and one on the outside, you just need bearings unless the inside surface where the clutch grabs is bad,...
Yes on the spur gear, looks like its all there in the pic, although I'm not sure if thats the proper spur or not as I'm not real familiar with your model rc

Thank you very much for that, my only problem is I'm from the uk and I've had a look on google and uk ebay and i can't find those items :(

I lied I've found all the parts using the part numbers. Total cost of £38.31, approx 60$? Is this model worth that kind of fixing?

Hpi makes some good stuff, I think its worth it. Plus 2WD stadium trucks
are lots of fun to drive IMO.
