got this as a trade for some real car parts. i dont know much about it except the local rc shop said it was worth a fortune. was told its a Serpent, 4wd, metal frame that has been drilled and balanced, 1/8 scale with .21 motor. it uses turbo plugs. the thing has no wear on it anywhere.. not a scratch.

i honestly dont know what to look for and these are the last pics i took before camera crapped out.

thanks in advance.

I don't know what it is, but I know where it is.
In the 1/8th scale buggy thread.

Nice car

Serpent Vector 1/8 4wd

You should have posted this in the on-road touring section and not in 1/8 buggy.

Looks very much like a Serpent to me as well. They are a top notch product, you really don't see to many around. They can be tough to get parts for. It does look like a nice one, have you run it yet?

It is still a Serpent Vector. Not sure on the year though.

Just because you originally posted your question in the wrong forum 2+ hours ago, does not mean you should just post it again in the right place after it is pointed out to you. You should have sent a PM to any mod for them to move it for you.

Those slicks are really nice- the pipe is a monster. you got yourself a good one that's for sure. Hope you got deep pockets to fit the parts...

The foams for the 1/8's are considerable larger. What's nice about the 1/8 are the quick mount system for the rims. Click on and off. Wish it was like that for the 1/10's

kind of looks like a picco integra. If you can get this switched in the on road section I am sure they will be able to help you out.

Come on, give the guy a break, someone told him he would find better answers in the on-road thread. Its his 1st 2 posts!!!

Anyway,do you know anything about RC? Or was this just a trade for something b/c he had no $$$? Did you get any radio gear with it?If your not a nOOb, find a body and take it to the dub shows!!( just dont crash into and 1:1 rides)

yea guys, sorry bout the crossposting.

I've been diggin. its not a Serpent Vector 1/8 4wd because the rear shocks are placed in totally different spots. i think its a mix of serpent and madog 1/10 scale cars.

in all it seems like there is way to much in here for me as a sorta novice to mess with. what would a car like this be worth? I'm really just looking for a quick truck/stadium truck( tons of construction in my area) i can rop around over jumps and stuff.

the only rc i know is the long list of radio shack rc cars I've had and the one traxxas nitro sport i played with for about a year. the car does come with a body or 3:), a futaba remote, original exhaust pipe, misc hoses, charger, glow plug lighter thing, brand new bump box(just spend $100 for it), half a gallon of 20% fuel, new fuel filler bottle, and a real nice rc car box to put all your stuff into.

as for dubs... do u mean vw? those are the only shows i go to (i have a corrado). as for taking something like this to shows i fear its to fast for me. at the hobbie shop they said this thing would break 75mph any day of the week. id be happy with like a truck or stadium truck that can do a bit less.

tracked down the original owner/builder today. car is for sure a sts madog(but parts from sepent 835 and M2 bolt right up). motor is a worked .21, the exhuast is custom, the frame has been drilled and balanced for weight reduction, the trans is 2spd, brakes are SUPER, the car is LIKE NEW and has had probly 2hrs of run time in its life.

the car was built for speed. PO sold it because of money troubles.

i have now started it up and went back and forth on my street. the thing is stupid fast... will post video when my new digi cam comes in the mail :)

nice of you to come on our forum only to try to sell your car & break the rules in the process ...you have to have 100 posts & be here 3 months to sell here

I was thinking the same thing.
He kind of danced around the rules. The rules state that you can't sell items in the for sale forum without 100 productive posts, and or 3 months in good standing. This is not the for sale forum.
If thats the case, then he's skating on thin ice.
If not, then wait until it's your time to sell here, and post it in the forsale forum.
I would take it up in PM's if you must, and whoever buy's it, your on your own.

actually I'm not skating or dancing anywhere. i was looking for info about the car (only had it about 3 days now) and since i found out its more then what i want i need it gone. if i was trying to get around "rules" i would have just posted a FS add.

i sell vw parts on many forums that blow this one away in size of members and posts per day. i think the 3 month rule is retarded but hay thats just me. if u need something sold, you should just be able to post it for sale. its up to the buyer to be able to protect themselves from shady dealers.
