I recently bought some RPM A arms for my T Maxx. I fitted the new A Arms and at the same time i fitted some lundsford Ball joints and RPM sockets to the track rods. I fitted the ball joints at each end keeping none of the black eyelets it came with as stock.

But since i did this my steering just wont track up properly. Its as if my track rods are nw to long i need them to be shorter but they wont go shorter all the thread is gone.

I checked that i have put everything in the right place and it looks fine. But if i push down on my t maxx the front wheels toe out then when there in the natural position they toe in. I dont think it did this before but maybe it did and i never realised it. I just dont seem to be able to get enough adjustment to set it up right. I know there are a few things i have yet to try like adjusting the steering bell and things but i was hoping there was an obvious mistake i have made but missed.

Also which way should the steering sevo go in. My book and the online drawings dont make it very clear at all.

Where the tie-rods connect to the steering knuckles... Are your rod ends mounted ABOVE or BELOW the steering knuckles? They should be BELOW. It sounds like you may have them mounted on top.

as far as the servo is concerned.. the end of the servo with the splines should be toward the front of the truck.

If the tie-rods are connected correctly to the knuckles, then you could have just screwed your pivot balls in too far into the ends of the arms when you installed them. This effectively makes the "arms" shorter. I think they are supposed to be just in until the threads on the pivot ball are no longer visible. Then you adjust from there.

The pivot balls are the two ball looking things that connect the steering knuckle to the arms themselves.

Well Lesson has it that was my problem. As for the servo it seems i have done that right at least. Thanks everyone now lets see how long she takes to start. She not been ran for the last month due to a stack of repairs and upgrades so i can see me having trouble starting it. I use after run oil and always leave the engine at BDC but it just dont like been left a long time between runs.

I hate to admit it, but I was about to agree with Lessen's explanation, but then saw that you had already corrected it. I tried doing it that way once, just for looks, and ran into that problem.

It's about time he added something worthwhile to this site.
