You are a screwball sometimes.........

Anyhow, i just read the Picco .25 manual here:

http://www.ofna.com/pdf/picco26-manual.pdf

No suggestions other than to run 20% for the first 3 tanks. Good indication that they expect you to run higher % after break-in. Along with a good explanation of what the break-in process actually does. Which tells me you dont need to re-break-in an engine when you switch fuels. Just re-tune since the sleeve is already broken in.

I did send them an email so you know. I will post it with their answer when they respond.

They did give you the most important page you need for a manual too! The needle settings! lol - this is the #1 page we all look for isnt it?!?!?!?

Talk about the pot calling the kettle....

I didn't say to do a break in, I suggested to run a tank of fuel (the new percentage stuff) through the engine and retune accordingly. I did suggest that this might be called a "break-in", but by no means do you need to run the four to six tanks of fuel through that most engines require for break in.

I'll stick with the 20% and see how it goes. If the first gallon sucks, then I may up the percentage.

twiztid25...Ofna Hyper 21 Eight Port. And yes, I have what I need to run my engine.

Damn, I hate it when I am right...thanks for posting that. I read it once upon a time ago...and couldn't remember where I put the link.

Ok Sky so now we know your mill can really run on 30% lmao

Yeah yeah, I know Mr. Conley got his engineering degree and so on, BUT, I still dont agree with his thinking. Do I think you have to retune? ABSOLUTELY! Do I think you are actually breaking in the engine? No way! The sleeve is already broken in after you run you first 10 or so tanks. So the sleeve is now smoothed out and any imperfections are gone. If what hes saying hold true, then you would never be able to reduce nitro content right? After all, it should run cooler and expand less which would give you crappier performance. Right?

Just my opinion. And any time I increased nitro content my temps actually went down, not up. Maybe this is do to the slightly better compression so less air. Who knows???

Great reading too! Thanks Razor!
