Usual wisdom is to break it in using whatever fuel you intend to run it on - seems that 16% seems to be the norm for general "bashing" and the occasional race. Some guys run up to 30% and beyond, but at the expense of engine lifespan.
I ran mine in using Blue Thunder "First un", as this is what was recommended to me when I bought the kit. It is basically 10% nitro with extra oils added to protect the engine duing the critical first half dozen or so tanks. Whether it's any good is beyond my knowledge, but I have finished that bottle and switched to 16% with no troubles.
If in doubt, talk to the guys you got the kit from - they should know best.
