I know you said not to mention other engines but have ya thought of the XTM .18?? Thats a kick ass motor!

Is the sirio just one of those engines that was advertised to death which is why all sorts of people bought them at first? Kind of like the maxx 2.5?

Anyone else get the epic? Everything I've read says it's a good engine, but there isn't much out there on it.

Didn't OS make a .18 for duratrash? Anyone have that one?

I have heard the EPIC .18 is a very powerful engine. I can't really say too much about it though, cause I havent read up on it or test it myself. As far as the Sirio .18 goes, no, it's not just an advertising thing that everyone likes it at first cause they think its cool. The sirio .18 is italian made and has the most horsepower of any .18 out there right now (for wat i know anyway). I think they claim that it has 1.7HP. The wasp .18 has somewhere around 1.4-1.5HP (never really told me the exact readings), and the Fantom .18 has around 1.6HP. The difference between the prices of the engines are basically the time taken into making them. A little port and polishing, and any engine can be racing the big bad italians (novarossi, picco, sirio, etc) lol.

actually i believe the sirio has something like 2.3 horse and the fantom i know for sure has 1.95 horse

The Sirio 18 is rated at 1.9hp. HP is an elusive thing...depends on who's doing the rating.

Yeah, and what elevation, how lean were they running, what percentage of nitro... It's just a figure that gives you a guess as to what it might be if you wanted to blow it up in 5 minutes.

I've noticed that a lot in reviews in magazines. They run 30% nitro, have the engine so lean that regardless what it's in, the temps are around 270-280. The comment is almost always "man is this thing fast!". Yeah, all 20 minutes before the engine siezes and they close the book on another good review.

i have a question for when i get the FR18 (I'm gunna order it saturday) should i get some better clutch shoes for it or will the stock ones work just fine??

#1 The sirio .18 They are very nice engines. My dads buddy just got you for his t-maxx just so he could beat me in a race. There fast easy to tune and they are reliable.
