I bought a truck and it came with two extra engines. They both look the same. One without a head. I have no clue wat size or model they are. If anyone could tell me by looking at them I would love to know. They are in my gallery. you will know by the title. Thanx!

I couldn't tell you what engines they are, but I can tell ya that the pics are a little blurry

Big time!!! If you took the pics with a digital camera look for a "portrait" or "still life" setting. On mine it looks like a little flower icon.

i think the one without the head is the Traxxas trx .15 engine. but the other one i have got no idea on what it is.

The lil flower icon means macro mode (lets u focus closer on objects)

Usually portrait mode runs a large aperture (2.8 or so ) on the camera to blur out the background some and keep the subject in focus

I concur with SuperMaxx. Looks like an original TRX .15. Not the Pro version, but the older version.

thats what i ment. the other one kinda looked liek it had something on the side of it. like a logo or something but i could not read it cause it was blury.

u sure that aint the .15FE? i had one on my nitro rs4 and it didnt have a built in motor mount. (i dont think it did??):\

That one with the head does look suspiciously like a .15FE. It has the same carb. With the plastic arm and the screws that mount into the side of the carb. I have seen engines with that kind of head on them, but the HPI was notorious for it especially on the Nitro RS4 RTR. But highflyin is right, too. The .15FE that I had in my NRS4 did have threaded motor mounts cast into the bottom of the crankcase. And even though the pic is blurry, it looks like a KB or something like that (focus......) on the side. So it may be one of those times when the engine may have been made the same company that made the .15FE, but hung a different tag on it.

I agree with the masses and say it's the traxxas on the missing head. The second is the HPI .12FE engine. The first gen Nitro RS4 came out with .12FE engines. Not the RTR, but the kit less Radio. That was my very first Nitro R/C. I didn't want the RTR because I wanted to learn all about the car. I knew things were going to break. I remember installng the motor mounts.

I figured out the one w/ the head is a K&B .18 It says K&B on the side. But you guys really think the other one is a traxxas TRX 2.5? The exhaust opening is pointed toward the rear wheels. I thought the TRX was pointed out the side?

The TRX .15 is different than the TRX 2.5. The TRX .15 has a side exhaust just like in the picture. Tht TRX 2.5 is a rear exhaust. That one is definitely NOT a 2.5.
