What do you do when your RC's get out dated?

Yeah I ran into that problem as well with my maxx. I had dropped alot of money into it (Over 1500) and ended up selling it for $300.. I wish now I would have kept it, but I used the money to buy something more updated. I still have a Smaxx, that I figure if I was to sell it, Id be lucky to get $150-$175 for it. So imo, its better just to keep and when a friend comes over who doesn't have one, and wants to bash, let him have at it. Other than that, it just sits on my shelf.
It doesn't really pay to get rid of them if there really outdated and wont bring in anything. Might as well just keep them or give them to a starter in the hobby as there intro truck.
