After about 10 minutes of driving as I was starting to do some high speed passes, I realized my t maxx wasn't shifting into 2nd. About 5 minutes later the truck seemed like the engine was reving with the throttle but wasn't making the truck move much at all. Then when I came to a stop, and tried to get going it did nothing but rev and just try barley roll. My slipper clutch was a little loose, but i'm nervous to drive the truck, because I don't want to break something else if it wasn't the slipper clutch being loose that was the problem. Also how tight should the nut on the slipper clutch be. I could move it by hand after the truck started with this issue. So I put the wrench on it and just tighten it till it was just seated, and snug. I did not put force on it, just used my finger to turn the wrench until i felt it have a little resistance back. This is not my video but this is what my truck is doing now.

Does your slipper clutch have a spring behind the nut or just washers?

If it has the spring, tighten the nut until the spring is fully compressed, then back it off 1/4 turn.

if that's a 2 speed transmission, it acts like it's inbetween gears. try pushing the pin on the the transmission in or pulling it out and rolling it , see if that works.

Which pin are you talking about civic? And I also just realized the shoes or pads, not exsactly sure what they are called, however there is 3 on the slipper cluch and 2 of them are broken and only one is whole. I'm talking about the part that looks like and mini break pad almost and there is 3 on the slipper. lol hopefully you guys know what I'm talking about, but i'm thinking this is the issue

tightened the nut way down, further then I expected to had to or felt comfortable with. 2 threads were showing on the pin or bolt past the nut. Is this way too tight? It made the truck move, but no shifting, still just maxes out in first. The truck is responding a lot better but still no punch from take off and definitely not 100% acceleration or top and at all. and like iI said i think the nut is too tight. I'm going to try and take some good pics later on, of the broken shoes. I know that may help some of you pros know what I'm talking about.

With busted shoes, I wouldn't even bother try running it. Your just going to warp the slipper plate and holders that hold the shoes. I modified a savage brake disk to use in place of shoes on my revo... I had a shoe come apart on me and tried to find out of what I had that would act like a friction plate without burning up. Been using it for over a year... lol
