What brushless motor and controller should I use for my E-Revo??
 
I would go with Novak's HV Maxx BL and ESC setup. It is a great setup and you can go with either a 6.5 , or 4.5 turn motor.

How many cells do you plan on running in it and what is your budget?

12-Cell NiMH and later maybe 5s LiPo. Budget is about $500.
