Tomorrow, my Slash 4x4 PE will be here (it's in NJ right now according to UPS) and I need to buy a battery, like tomorrow. I wanted to know what battery to use and why. I want a 2s because I will be racing this truck a lot, maybe a 3s down the road for some speed runs, but for now I want a few 2s batteries.. I don't care what brand they are, besides Venom. How is this battery for one, seem pretty stout to me...

I use that battery in my SC10 and works just fine, and yes, for racing. I never had any issues with them at all, and run right up there in the front. Now I know you are going to hear all about cheap stuff from certain people, and maybe the high end batteries are better, but these work fine in certain vehicles and will work just fine in what you have coming.

thanks dude, I asked one of the guys at my lhs and he said " you get what you pay for ".. but I have a heard of a lot of people that use these batteries and have had no problems at all. I just don't have $150 to go blow on one Maxamps battery.

I run a 2 cell 6000 miah 30C from Dynamite and it was only $75 at my LHS. If you follow the instuctions and charge properly I don't see a problem with using cheeper packs at all.

compared to the other MaxAmps batteries they offered at over $150 a piece I thought it was a better deal. I try and support my LHS as much as I can since I know what it is like not to have one. Also I try and buy all my electronics locally as well since they usually cover or replace any problem items. Most if not all online places offer no refunds/replacements on any electrical items. My guys are real good and I know that is rare these days. HtH
