hey guys you've been giving me great advice so far as to what i should buy..i know you all mostly saying i should buy from new and i honestly think that one day when i've been in this for a while i will get a brand new kit to make myself but for rite i have the urge to just get out there in the sunshine and bash..so i wanna get a decent truck and fast, please everyone look at this auction and tell me your thoughts

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....m=170222477432&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=007

i need to get my own STEERING SERVO AND RADIO GEAR ..is this expensive and hard to fit..would i need a particular type?

is the engine on this as good as a 4.6 ..faster or slower.. overall what you think of this truck...

its a roto start but dont think it comes with that either *frown

the guy has got good feedback for other trucks hes sold.

so please help,i'll buy you all a pint lol :spit:

Attractive truck. I would only have 2 reservations. He doesn't tell you what kind of .27 engine, and he doesn't tell what mods were done and by whom.
And there are a number of alloy pieces. Be aware of one thing. Alloy doesn't break. Yeah, that sounds nice. But somewhere along the chain is a piece that will. So if there are alloy arms with stock plastic bulkheads, the bulkheads will break in a tough crash, and will take more time to replace.
I'm not necessarily trying to talk you out of it, just giving you food for thought.

You can get a HiTec 645MG servo for around 25 bucks shipped, and you can get a RTR radio system for around 20 to 30 bucks. Or you can get a really nice digital radio system for around $100 and up. How much is the price in US funds?

I can see he has a lot of money in it. Lots of alloy upgrades. If I'm correct, that the price in U.S. dollars is about 200, it's a real steal. I'm pretty sure it will go up from where it is now.
I'd say put a bid in on it and see what happens.
Any time you buy used, you can expect to spend a bit more, but if you ask him specific questions about it he'll have to answer truthfully or answer to Ebay. He's also at 100% positive feedback after 40 deals. I'd feel pretty good about this one. Ask him if the engine is ready to fire right up, and how many gallons he's run through it.
If it stays near the price it's at now, you could easily tear it down and part it out and make enough of a profit to buy a brand new on.

Radio systems are pretty cheap on Ebay, and here. Lots of people buy a car or MT new, and immediately install their best radio system, so stock setups are everywhere. I sold my stock Savage radio and receiver for $30.

ok I've messaged him asking all the questions you mentioned.i'll let you know what he says when i get a reply.
is the servo hard to install? and after installing it would engine need tuning cuz of it?
thanx!

servo installation should be very straight forward and should have nothing to do with the tune of your engine since its only the steering servo, if i read that correctly.

usually people who are interested in something on e bay wait till the last few minutes and bid like crazy. so something thats $200 could go way up in the last moments of the auction. so keep a close eye on it if your bidding.

other than that it looks like a good truck to me. hope you win the auction. Good Luck!
