this will be going in my XTM X-terminator pro. I used to have an OS 21 RG, but my brother needed an engine for his buggy, just the excuse i was looking for to gain more power... So i saved up and bought it... LOL. now all i need to do is break it in and get to the track. I just wanted to share this sweet deal with everyone. These are usually selling for $200-$245

And i know hes not jipping me because first of all in the pic, on the engine bag, it says $159.49 if you look really close, second of all i look through his feedback and he recently bought this.

nice find. i just bought a novarossi Top .28 3 port off the same exact guy. mine was 195. he seems to be getting out of the hobby and selling stuff reasonably cheap. mine is going into my swift when i convert it to a truggy.

i use the 421b recently (trial off the ws7 RB) I'm stocked with it, did you notice that it is a short stroke so it might not have quite the required torque for racing

I've always read that short stroke novarossi sb/sbk's make awesome super smooth low/mid range torque? looking at different specs for bore /stroke on different engines it seems that with our .21 buggy mills short strokes make good smooth low end, while long strokes tend to have more power later in the band, and the powerband kicks in suddenly.

actually your partly right. short strokes are very smooth. but you get low end torque from a longer stroke as a general rule in ANY engine. port tuning may be the difference that you are seeing.

you should be happy with your BS21SB. its a nice smooth torquey motor (thanks to porting) and will do just fine in your buggy.

I stand corrected, most guys over here run the long stroke, not many use the short mainly because of the glugy style conditions weve come to love

Ya.... I don't think it will matter to me because my last engine was a os RG... :smoke: (powerwise) but i think I'm ready to step it up in the speed, accel, power etc. so, i got this! My friend (hes an adult) has 2 of them and he loves them. He put them in some of his kanai's n stuff. hes been racing for a while. I met him at my old track... but it shut down...:depress: o well, i go to 1 that is 1 hr away and there is another 1 about the same distance somewhere else.
O, by the way... what wt. diff oils do you guys run in your buggies? i dont have any yet... they should have my buggy come with diff oil...

good starting point for diff oil is 1k rear, 7k middle and 5k front. I've ran an OS RG in a xterminator before for a little while...while not the greatest those RG's have some nice off idle grunt. I'm sure this nova will be nicer all around though.
