Congrats, looks like a fun way to spend the day. Once it's fixed up hope it will be reliable for you.

I have learned it needs these things:

Aluminum servo mount. This will also allow me to run a 1/5 scale servo (you can with the stock mount)
Aluminum spindles - they break frequently
Upgraded servo - stock one tends to strip

I have everyting on order and I should have it all installed next week.
 
Congrats. Looks like a lot of fun. I have been eyeing one too. Now I am hearing that the SBR is more reliable. I'm going to hold off a bit and do more research.
 
I've got the Redcat Rockslide X10, and it's much larger brother, the Super Rockslide. Both setup with cameras for FPV. They are well built, easy to work on, and a blast, if you like going slow. I've driven both all the way around my 1 acre, and even under my mobile home, while sitting on my porch, with FPV goggles on. Loads of fun. Put led headlights on the Super, and drive it around at night. Drives the neighbors dog cwazy!
