Hey Guys,

Well I am happy to say the CRT is not as pretty as she used to be! Saturday was the first day I was able to actually race it and the truck performed beautifully. The driver on the other hand... needs some work! LOL The truck is a dream to drive, and the OS mill is a powerhouse... well at least it has more power than I was willing to unleash this weekend. I ran only about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle all day and I was still smoking some folks. Once I get my driveing down pat and stop landing on my nose after a jump, I might stand a chance at wining one of these races. Well I have to run... I just wanted to share the great news. I will get another shot this weekend if the weather holds. Thanks to all that have helped me from day 1 of the build until now. You guys rock!

Sounds like you had fun! Plus you had more luck than me and Monkey Wrench! Ran my LSP for the first time this weekend too.

Congrats Tom, What's the old saying...Just cause you don't come in first, Dosn't mean your not a winner. Keep landing on your nose..Just get a bigger bandaid.
Good Job Bro.

You'll get it. The first time I went to the track was a disaster. Its a whole other story though.

Thanks guys.... I know it takes practice, practice, and some more practice. I was just glad to get that thing out on the track to make some noise. I was getting a bit better as the day went along. I will get another shot next weekend hopefully. Take care guys.

Alrght Tom.....sounds like she had a good first race day......congrats on not braking it....LOL
is it diving by itself??? if so check your brake drag.....make sure it's not binding up at all.......OR goose the throttle a lil more when it's diving......

You know Plaid.... you just made a light bulb go off in my head! I didn't even think to check for brake drag. Yes it is diving by itself... I hit the jump and let off the throttle and down she goes. I was able to goose the throttle a bit, but it still seemed to want to nose down. I will check the drag and adjust if necessary. I thought it a bit weird since my buggy I have now flies like a dream. I hit the jump let off the gas and she just sores and lands back wheels just a split second before the front. Thanks my friend.

I did break one thing and I need to find a fix for it. My wing stays ( the little plastic gromet that goes into the holes in the wing and prevents the screw from pulling through the wing) are tiny and I keep breaking them off. Is there a way I can fix this? Besides not landing on my lid! LOL Thanks

Tom

Sounds like you had a good time. That is the main reason for going out.
You know I don't race, but I would think it would take a bit to get a new car dialed in. Plus you are getting used to a different ride. And a different track too aren't you?

Glad you got to race a little. Good luck.

Most important...
Have fun with it.

Yep man, you are absolutely right. Everything is new.... the Truck, the track layout, and the class I am racing in. Last year I ran 1/8 buggy. Unlimited MT is the biggest class and man does traffic get tight! I watched an LSP Tbone an MGT and the LSP broke the front B block. It was a pretty hard hit. Any truck would have broken something. I guess that is the risk you take when you race. I just try to race the track. I don't pay attention to the other trucks much. I did have a blast though, and that is why I do it. Take care my friend.

I have an issue of R/C Car (May 2006), that has a Pro Secrets Corner featuring Jammin CRT Tips with Chad Bradley. If your intertested, I'd be more than happy to scan it, & send it to ya...
