Picked up a slash today from my LHS, thanks for the advice on a great truck. This thing is awsome

I love mine. I run the 8.4v 7 cell 4500mah battery and changed the shock fluid out to 45wt. Add some preload to the front and rear shocks as well.

Adding other tires and wheels (wider) makes it handle like a dream.

6 cell 4200 mah I almost bought Li-Po but decided against for now, I did get a charger that charges all of them

The Slayer has funky wheels. You'll not the outside is a 2.2 size and the backs are larger to clear the suspension. If you get wheels/tires for the Slayer (Nitro, not Slash-Electric) they'll have to be at least the diameter of the backsides of the rims.

I didn't realize the Slash had different tires... Thought they were the same and that what worked for you would work for me

Yeah.... I have an early Slash, which has 2.2 wheels on it, inside and out. The newer ones have the same tires and wheels as the Slayer and look identical to the ones I have on the ousides.

Slash and Slayer have totally different chassis and suspensions, although they sit and look pretty close to being the same: a 1/10 scale CORR truck.

Now.....I just ordered/received all new STOCK wheels for my Slash through Tower Hobbies, and the Slash has changed over to the funky wheels used for the Slayer..... and you can only use stock tires on them, due to the size difference. I've seen them on newer Slashes in the hobby shops. I just got them, and all for nothing....

You could probably swap on a set of tires and wheels from a Revo on the Slayer, but.......

Nope already been there.... I am currently looking to change it into a revo.... From what I see on Ebay looks like about $100 total plus shipping.... Anyways congrats...

Yeah, I'm happy I went with this truck. It's a solid peice of work!

I got a slayer but i wouldn't wanna change a thing, it handles twice as good as my t-maxx. I'm learnin to drive it better every time. I see some new tires n beadlocks for a slash, i'm really confused will those work for my slayer?
