Good luck with. And you can always do like I do, someone walks up and says something you have is crap, just kindly smile at em and say "I just smoked you!" I love that!

Yeah there is this kid at my local track that think he and his LSP can't be beat. His folks have cash so he has the best of everything, and so because of that he thinks he can't be touched. Hopefully this year, a bit of competition will come his way. Good line... I will have to borrow that!

you can piss off the fish...just don't piss ON the fish..kay?.....just because the mill isn't what I'm lookin for doesn't mean it don't have value or a purpose....I'm just into different stuff......OS is great product....easy to tune and have awsome CS.......
Over geared just means you're running a higher (faster/top end) ratio than most.....usually buggies are running a 13t at my track...I run the RG w/ 14 or even 15t depending on track conditions.....that's over gearing it....under gearng is obviously the lower gearing....

Tom, I hate to tell you that you messed up buying one of those O.S. engines.....

So I won't!!
Haven't had any experience with one in a car yet. But I have one that has outlived 5 aircraft going on 6. Was always easy to tune and kept a tune.
That is why we get into this hobby. To have fun, relax, and forget the troubles of the day. Not to be tuning and tinkering on a car all the time. (it's fun to a point)

One more reason....
To get on a web-site like this and see pics posted of a rich mama's boy with a dumb look on his face, because you "just smoked him."
Good luck Bro.

especially after so many folks told me the mill was crap.

I won't give you my opinion about this mill because I've never seen one, but I've also never seen a OS engine that is crap. I won't buy it because of the price and because I don't need more than my .28, but I'm nearly sure you made a good investment.

All I run are OS mills (with the exception of the tmaxx, but that truck is getting replaced soon). I've had a CV .12, CVR.12, RG.21 (that one blew up due to age)... Those engines were more than rock solid. The CV.12 hung with CVR.12's on a straight run. The RG was hanging with engines that were a step up and above it.

I now have a VZR-Turbo II and a TZ .12 (which I haven't finished breaking in yet.. darned rain!!!), and the little that I have gotten to run them, I love 'em. I can't wait to see what the new breed have in store for me, once these little monsters are fully broken in.

All the OS engines I've had have held a tune better than Enrico Pavarotti can ever hope to, been more powerful then Rosanne Barr at an all-you-can-eat buffett, and been more reliable than heartburn after a Taco Bell midnite run.

I've had Ofna/Piccos, Megatechs, and SH (GS) engines, and ya just can't go wrong with OS. Reliability and power, all in one package. The one time I had a problem with an OS Engine (aside from the RG going BOOM) was a cracked piston in a VZR-II that I ordered. OS took it back and shipped me a new one, all on their dime. Can't beat that customer service at all.

I don't know why I was worried about what you would say. I just had this nightmare of you coming up to MD and kicking my you know what! LOL I just was actually worried about posting this. Anyway, you are right... just because it is not what you are into doesn't mean the mill is crap. Everybody has there preferences.

I know the mill is not a racer, but I am still going to go out and smoke that mama's boy and his LSP... which I found out he is trying to dump now, not even a year after he got it! I mean he is not really a "kid" he is in his early 20's, but he walks around thinking he is the best just because he has the best stuff. He can be cool, in fact he pitted for me once, and he does now a little bit about what he is talking about. I just want to go out there and smoke him, you know... just kind of set the tone. LOL

Hey Bro...

How have you been? I am still new to the OS buggy mills, but so far I am very happy with the RG. I may move up to one of the higer end OS mills toward the end of this season, we shall see. I need to improve my tuning skills first! I have had the same experience that you have had with the OS mills. Mine has made it through four different planes, and has been dug out of the dirt one time. The only thing I have had to replace is the muffler, (broke off while on its way through the trees into the ground), plugs, and the props. Other than that man... what a powerhouse little mill. I would love to get a plane and strap it to it and see if it will still run. It has been a long time. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will be able to post some info about the .30 on here. Take care my friend.

godale, hope you get plenty of use out that phrase this year!

I am going to do my best! I am going to start practicing and working on my setups as soon as the weather breaks here, hopefully sometime in March, so that I can have my setups in place. I just want to have fun, and maybe win a race or two... LOL I really have to practice my driving but at least now I have a ride that should soak up the bumps a bit better so I will have a little better control. Thanks my friend and take care.

Alright Tom, been waiting a long time now for you to send that mill to me! I know, I know...DAMN POST OFFICE!

Just let me know when you sent it and I'll put a track on it. I know you probably hated that thing and I just want to make sure you know I'm ready to take it off your hands.
