XRay doesn't make anything half assed, so with that said, this should be one hell of a buggy.

As for the worlds, dont knock Kyosho out just yet. The MP 777 SP is already available for order overseas..... I'm assuming this is what they PLAN on taking the worlds with.

I just dont see Kyosho getting knocked out of victory lane any time soon. Here and there maybe, but not knocked out. Besides, Mugen is now in the running too!!!

All these buggies and not enuff money!! I have the blues.....

I hear that! There have been some real nice buggies turning out lately, it's getting rather intersting.
 
Its good to see though. More competitive buggies means two things in our world.

1. Better pricing (someday)
2. More choices (today!)

I hear that! Man, some real nice buggies have been turning out lately, sure is getting interesting in the 1/8 buggy world as of lately.

And since there is more competition... better quality parts along with exactlty what you said Christian.

They'll replace my MBX-5 when they pry it from my cold,,dead,,, fingers...

No really, you know why they dont put picks of the inside up ? Becuase they are still having problems with the front portion of the belt drive system,,,,,, how's that twist your noodle?

hate to agree, but so far I'm with Kazi.....

can't see anything different from the ol K cars in those pics... pretty similar. So much for luxury, that sounds like a lame attempt at getting people fired up about a new buggy than a bold statement, lol hb.

Maybe it has some laydown servos and graphite inside OMFG LUXURY ALERT
 
Maybe it has air conditioning and a leather.. servo tray? Or maybe it has a Bose 8-speaker sound system. Who knows, maybe you can mount up a nice little nitro V8 in there..

Yea, it really does look awesome. I guess I'll just be another one to ask, "why dont they take the damn lid off, we dont care if it still has some glitches in the drivetrain that need to be worked out. Just show us the friggin guts of the thing!" Yet again, another reason why manufacturers of these products should really ask the people what they should do next. Maybe I'm just rambling on myself, heck who knows. But either way, it looks great. I didnt catch it in this thread, and I'm to lazy to click on links, does anyone know what kind of engine it has in it? how about how expensive it's gonna be? Just wondering, not like I can afford it anyway.
By the way, I'm going to put a fricken speaker system in my next truck. That is a cool idea! I mean, as long as there is no profound lyrics, why would people have a problem with it? Eheheheh, this should get interesting.
I wanna see a drag race of all the good buggys out there, and see which one wins. Hmm, sry for the long post, I like rambling on.

Yeah, but hey... at least it't another on the market... only good things come from more competition on the market. K clone or not, I'm sure it will be a nice buggy. Doesn't have to be a Kyosho to be a nice buggy... that is especially true now a days, it's been proven many times. Also just because it *looks* like a Kyosho doesn't mean that it is a clone of one or even a copy of one... all buggies are VERY similar, about the only main differences are lay down servos, pivot ball vs. c-hub, material differences... other than that, it's all the same poop more or less. I have nothing agains Kyosho's at all... obviously in the top rankings of buggies, but come on man... not eveything that is new is taking an attempt at directly coppying the Kyosho buggies... they are simply making a product with what works and entering the market with it.
 
Funny part is, if you want to beat a Kyosho, why not just copy it exactly to the letter. Then, all you have to do is find a better driver. Instead of it being a Kyosho buggy to win the main, it would be 'ABC Brand' to win the main. Again, providing the driver is good hehehe

Its a theory anyhow.

I mean why would anyone want to deviate from such a proven design? The MBX 5 is also very similar to a Ky and likewise. They are buggies! There is only so much that can be re-invented. And that stuff will be in the diffs, chassis, any machined parts that could use beefiness and on down the line.

Any company capable of RELEASING a COMPLETE 8th scale buggy to the world deserves some credit. Period.

But I still want to know where the hell the pics are too! lol
 
I agree with you completely Christian. Yeah! It's annoying as hell that they have no topless pic's of that thing yet... not like it's THAT much different than the rest of the buggies out there... damn, comeon guys!
 
Well... if they can get it relaiable and strong enough, why not have a belt drive? I don't see it happening... but it would be pretty cool to have a stone solid belt drive buggy I suppose... I wouldn't think it would be possible, but you never know.

Seriously though the let some stuff out like:

XRAY has published an interview with Juraj Hudy about the new car and some details on it.

For example:
The XB8 will have no E-clips on it
It will have a combination of C-Hub and pivot ball suspension
The kit will include 4 Hudy profi tools, two sets of shock springs, two sets of clutch springs an even a 1200mAh receiver pack

Hudy pretty much said PRP stole the black aluminium with silver edging. Read all about it!!!
 
That thing is going to be a lot of cash.

From the sounds of it, it should be really nice though. The guy does a good job with the Market-speak, so once you sift through all that, there are some things that have me curious.

The biggest one being, no loctite?
