The LD3 I just bought runs great but I noticed something I thought was weird.
The car runs great once started...BUT I either have to prime the hell out of it or put one eye dropper drop of nitro directly into the cumbustion chamber, put the glow plug back in, then starts right up. If not....only way to get it started is by using a starter box. This has been confirmed by my LHS and some local guys that I've been bashing with lately....
Once running it will not die as long as it has fuel no matter how long I leave it idle...no matter how long I run it WOT (doing flybys) even after I ran onto some grass and it flipped...the engine did not die.
I can deal with the priming issue...but what bugs me is that if I purposefully shut it down once up to temp (either by plugging the exhaust pipe or putting a finger on the flywheel) I cannot get it started again. I've tried on different occassions re- priming, changing HSN settings, changing LSN settings, starter box, new glow plug, freshly charged c-cell glow ignighter...nothing works....
The only way to restart is to wait until it cools then I have to prime the hell out of it again.
I thought that maybe I'm just running tooooo hot but no matter what...with the stratus body on...it never gets above 250 unles the outside temp is over 80 degrees F.
Anyone ever have this problem? Or can shed some light on what may be going on?
