Also, a mill is a machine used to make parts (vertical or horrizontal milling machine) which produces 2 things, 1) flat surfaces on metal parts, and 2) metal shavings. If you run your engine too lean or treat it badly, it will produce metal shavings. Therefor: engine = mill, in a bad way.
Mill: slang, nuf said.
