Hey everyone now that all my kinks are worked out got the FOC installed and gear mesh correctly adjusted. I've seen pics of covers over all the servo's is that something I can buy or have to make. Also are there any hints to wrap all my wires together to help waterproof them? I pretty much want everything that is electric sealed if I can. Now for hop ups I really want new shocks and springs what kind do I need? Or can I just use anykind? Also do I need that shock oil or whatever it is? Oh its a 3.3 also I don't know if model matters
 
Do a search for sealing electronics on this forum. As for the shocks, I can think of ten other upgrades that I would do first. Maybe just change to 40 or 50 wt oil the stock shocks are pretty good. I really don't know of any aftermarket shocks besides integy, which are junk.
 
The stock shocks aren't bad, but when I had a revo, I kept busting shafts. I later realized it was how I had the suspension setup, but I did get the TiNi coated shafts. They are more smooth and help the o-rings last longer for less frequent rebuilds.
 
RPM arms and RPM axle carriers are a couple that should be done early on to avoid busting arms and carriers. Since they are location specific, keep the originals as back ups in case you ever do break an RPM arm.

Others I can think of are more personal preference. Since you have a 3.3, you should have a decent pipe already in stock form. Others would be HD servo saver spring, single high torque steering servo, replace t/b servo with old steering servo, ditch reverse and get the FOC and maybe replace the rear skid with an alloy one since the stock one likes to snap the back off and you loose your pins.

I'm sure there are others, but those come to mind.
 
Maybe a pullstart/glow ignitor, better wheels and tires with some offset to widen the truck...unless it's a new 5309, they're wider. A good 3 shoe clutch will outlast your stock one 3 times over. I have a ths pipe/manifold on my 3.3, it makes more power compared to any stock revo pipe. Rpm also has what's called a true track. It's rear a-arms that eliminate the rear tie rods and add larger bearings while trimming a wee bit of weight. Speaking of weight, the traxxas tubes and some aluminum pillow balls will really take the weight off. Combined with a pullstart, forward only and single steering servo you can make that 3.3 revo into a serious threat on any track. There's really no limit on a revo. I would save the shocks for last unless you'll be hitting huge jumps.

As for new tires i'm not sure as my revo was given to be I don't have the owners manual what size axles come standard with it? Also is the pull start really worth it I have no problems with my easy start. But then again it would get rid of the whole starter unit thing.
 
Ok after further investigation I have a couple questions when I replace my foward A-arms should I go with the RPM axle carriers? And one thing I noticed that the guy who had it before me put some kind of beef up on the axles its like a little piece of aluminum that slips over the axle and makes it a huge diameter instead of just the little one. If I take the piece out can I just buy any rim and tire set up now?
